I am just diving into working with APIs and came across API Spreadsheets. I see a huge potential in prototyping Saas ideas with it! I believe it could also do wonders for webshop owners who wants an easy way to add new products and have them automatically imported. Havn't tested that though.
It has been amazing for me to quickly make APIs to play around with and even making a small tool for my girlfriend to help her collect data for her masters thesis.
It's fairly easy to use and understand, and the included code examples makes it really fast to work with. Overall very satisfied. Hope you stick around for a long time!
those who work with integration software know that 50,000 requests per day is a unique offer. Not even in the best plans of the other services will you have anything close to 1500000 requests per month! The interface is a bit ugly, but it's all self-explanatory and the codes provided based make the life of any programmer much easier. Keep up the good work and I hope your product has a very long life.
This software is very useful to create simple calls via API from google sheets, for us it solved a recurring problem we had with automation platforms: we had to standardize cities and states from one output into the format required by the receiving platform. In other systems we had to jump hoops and loops to make this happened, and if it failed, the whole automation would fail. With API Spreadsheets we just send the original output and get the clean one, it super simple, but it solves the problem straight away!
I can think of many ways of using API spreadsheet to exploit the power of Google Sheets and the simplicity of integrating data via API.
This one is a must for entrepreneurs building tech MVP's! (or even low-code creators to simplify queries)
Suggestion: It would be GREAT if you could build a Form builder to POST data and a Results'page builder for GET queries; this should be relatively easy to do because the blocks required should be reusable and kind of standard, and we could build solutions right from here (like the code starters, but to a new level os usability).
Example use case: We have codes for invitations tied to people's ids, we have this on a gsheet, and we would love if people could enter their id and get their unique code as a result, maybe even generate a QR with it for people to download or screenshot and use during the event admission.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for your review. I really love the suggestions and we will definitely work on implementing them :)
Very cool & nifty API tool. We were able to wrap an API around a Google Sheet in no-time, to query the API based on one value and get the corresponding row back as JSON. 💪

Hi @Steve_Dejo! Thanks for your review and kind words.
We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying API Spreadsheets! Please let me know if you have any questions and we'll be happy to help.
I like it, many times products on AppSumo are very pretty and polished but aren't very useful and buggy. This one is different in that it's kinda ugly (in an endearing, looks like an engineer designed it kind of way) but it's is very useful and functional!
My two suggestions:
1) I think if apispreadsheets hired a designer and made the website and ui prettier and think it'll probably attract more customers (I hope the company has a long life so it doesn't shut down).
2) One thing I wish these api type services could use is some kind of caching layer that users can control so that I can indicate to have a sheet cached, set the expire time, or clear the cache. And if the api is retrieving from a cache GETs should be theoretically much faster and appropriate for larger sites. And maybe cached requests could even count towards less requests since it doesn't have to talk to the google sheets api all the time.
Thanks
