Can AppDrag Replace The Other Website Builders?

When they said it was a replacement for Squarespace/Wix/Weebly for agencies because it allows source code editing I was excited! It looked great and I wanted to stack a bunch of codes and make the switch to AppDrag for myself + clients. I love the work they have done with it, but there are also a few disappointments.

Why I love it:
• Fast - those AWS servers are perfect as I live abroad and have many clients in different parts of the world. Their coding is cleaner than other app builders I've seen.
• SEO - being able to adjust tags and titles, as well as having a basic SEO editor was a welcome approach
• Customization - They have some great creative elements other page builders don't offer, and adjusting the source code, both on the page builder and in the separate Code Editor tab is a gamechanger!

Cons:
• URL extensions: if your client is moving from any of the popular website builders whose links don't have .html extensions they will be punished in SEO since Appdrag uses the .html extension on their URLs. The only way to get around this is to redirect every page/article link individually. Talked with support- one person said I could just use the URL rewriter tool, but when that wasn't working (and a few hours later) a different support person said I couldn't use the rewriter tool to do that. They also said they do not allow .htaccess either to accomplish this.
• Tutorials/Help Center just doesn't have enough information to get complete answers to relevant questions on using AppDrag.
• The Ecommerce is a bit basic and doesn't include some needed options i.e. subscriptions, digital downloads, gift cards but the other two cons are more of an impact on me.

It's great software, + I want to love it! but the URLs and limited tutorials/explanations/forums are stifling to take the plunge in making this my agency platform.

Hey Sam

Great news, we have just published today a new option to remove .html extension from links!

To activate it:
1) Go to your dashboard > project settings > Optimizations
2) there check the checkbox: Remove .html extension for indexing, Canonical URL and Sitemap will be generated without .html extension.

From that point, your website will accept url with or without the .html extension, but the canonical url (the url really indexed by search engines, others are ignored because different from the canonical url) will be the one without .html

3) Finally, open the pagebuilder, double click on your menu in the header, and in the customize menu brush, check the checkbox "Remove .html extension from links"

You are done, your site pages will be served and indexed without .html extension :)
