Q: I run a site in Japan using WPLMS.
1) In your tier plans, it mentions that multilingual is only available from Tier 3 onwards. For my site, I don't need multilingual, the entire site is in Japanese. Would I still need Tier 3 for this or is it possible to set a Tier 1 or 2 plan to Japanese as the default (therefore only using one language)?
2) I've seen several answers where you state that all WP themes are compatible, but since WPLMS is a Learning Management System and therefore can add courses on the backend, would this still work?
Ideally, I'd love my students to be able to take their courses through the app as well as read blog content, take quizzes and purchase new courses. Since these are all housed through the same website (not using third-party course platforms like Teachable), would this still work within the App My Site framework?
It looks like an amazing service and just what I need, but just want to double-check these two points first.

Thank you for reaching out. We hope this answers your questions.
1. We assume your website is built on WordPress and understand that you're using WPLMS for your Japanese website.
By default, all your app's native buttons, texts, and labels will be in English. In order to allow users to view these native app texts in Japanese, you would need the Language Support feature which is available from License Tier 3 onwards. This feature will allow users to select a language of their choice from within the app. Your WordPress website's content will be synced to the app as is.
2. From what we understand, WPLMS comes packaged as a WordPress plugin (or is bundled with your WordPress theme).
In any case, AppMySite provides support for custom post types and taxonomies created via third-party plugins and themes. Generally, course-content created with LMS plugins and themes is done through custom post types and taxonomies.
You can sync custom content created via plugins and themes to your app's side menu and bottom bar. We would suggest you sign up for a free plan, connect your website, and sync your website and app to see if everything is working as it should. You can also view this article for more information:

3. Your students should be able to access course content created via WPLMS via the bottom bar and side menu. In case all your website's features and functionalities are not completely compatible with the app, you can try turning on webview for your entire app.
You can do this by selecting your CMS platform as 'Other' while creating your app. This will render your entire mobile site in the app. Visit this article to learn more:

Thanks so much for that response.
Just to confirm my understanding. My website is currently written completely in Japanese, but the App My Site tool would only develop it in English? Wouldn't that cause issues in the tool 'reading the content'?
It just seems a shame that I need to have the higher tier purely for the site content as it already is to be read (since I don't need any translation functionality).
As for the second one, WPLMS is a WordPress theme, so if I understand you correctly, then it shouldn't be an issue on that front.
I'll give it a try through the free version first and see how it goes. Thank you.
Hi there,
If you are planning on running the app on entirely web-view, then you will probably not need a higher tier for language selection. Like we said, the language support feature translates the native elements of the app in the default language of your website.
We hope that clarifies your doubt.
