Deal page promises vs. what you actually get — [UPDATED July 2026]

⚠️ UPDATE: This is a revised version of my earlier review, updated after the vendor's reply and re-edited to focus on what's included in this deal and on the deal page's own text.
I'm reviewing my experience with what's included in this AppSumo deal, and the points where the deal page text didn't match what I received.

"Monetization features" — listed as included on the deal page. The tier table lists "Monetization features" and "No commission on sales" as included in every tier. In practice, offering subscriptions or collecting in-app payments required a separate module billed monthly. If monetization is included per the deal page, I shouldn't need an extra monthly payment to monetize. I'd ask the vendor to clarify publicly, right here, exactly what "Monetization features" covers.
"Push notifications" — listed as included. Basic push is there, but anything beyond it requires a separate monthly module. Buyers should know what the included version actually does before purchasing.
No custom code allowed. The included builder does not allow adding any custom code, so there is no way to add your own analytics tracker (Firebase, Google Analytics, anything) to an app built with what this deal includes. Factor that in if you need visibility into your app's usage.
My reliability experience. Builds failed for me without actionable explanations. In my case, the keys needed to update my published app were lost — without them you cannot ship updates to an existing app. Support was slow when I needed help with these issues, and when my app was rejected by the app stores, the help I received didn't resolve it.

I bought this expecting the deal page to describe what I'd receive. On the points above, my experience didn't match. Read the tier table carefully and get written clarification on what "Monetization features" includes before you buy.
⚠️ End of update — this version reflects my experience as of July 2026.

This service is a complete disappointment. They advertise a lifetime deal, but once you’re in, you realize you have to pay monthly to actually use it. Essential features are locked behind expensive add-ons, making the initial purchase almost useless.

Beyond that, the platform itself is unreliable. Builds fail without explanation, support is slow and unhelpful, and they even lost critical keys needed to update apps. If your app gets rejected by Apple or Google, don’t expect much help—just an offer to pay more for their "publishing assistance."

Save yourself the frustration. There are better, more honest alternatives out there.

The reply was not true; you absolutely need their add-on because they don't allow you to add any custom code. You can't add any trackers by yourself. You have to pay them to do so. You have to pay them for the iOS feature to receive payment; otherwise, you cannot use the Apple feature.

Timing worth noting: as far as I can see, this is the first vendor reply on this review page in about a year — my review and others before it went unanswered until now. The reply arrived shortly after AppMySite relaunched their deal on AppSumo. I'll let readers draw their own conclusions from that timing.

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet your expectations.

We'd like to clarify a few points for anyone reading your review:

The AppSumo deal includes everything listed on the deal page and allows customers to build, export, and publish fully functional Android and iOS apps. Optional add-ons are available for customers who require additional premium capabilities, but they aren't required to create or publish an app.

Regarding app publishing, our optional publishing services are designed to simplify the submission process for customers who prefer expert assistance. They are never a guarantee of App Store approval, as the final decision always rests with Apple and Google. Our support team does not charge customers to resolve app rejections or promise approvals.

When it comes to app builds, build failures are accompanied by diagnostic messages explaining the cause and, where possible, the steps required to resolve the issue. Our support team is also available to help investigate build-related issues whenever needed.

We also recognize that support response times have not always met the standards we strive for. Over the past year, we've made significant investments in improving our support experience, and we're proud that this progress is reflected in the feedback from our customers:

We appreciate your feedback and wish you the very best with your future projects.
