Approval Studio is back on AppSumo! It’s been 1.5 years since our last launch here, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who grabbed our deal back in 2023. Since then, we've received numerous emails from those who missed out, asking for another chance. Well, the wait is over—we’re thrilled to return!

The time since our last campaign wasn’t spent resting; instead, we've been continuously enhancing Approval Studio based on your invaluable feedback. Sumo-lings have played a huge part in shaping what Approval Studio is today. Not only did we gain amazing new users, but we also built an engaged community eager to suggest improvements, features, and tweaks to make our platform better.

One of our favorite early suggestions was, "Make the approval buttons bigger!"—and we implemented it immediately, even before our last AppSumo deal ended. Since then, we've rolled out tons of exciting updates, including multiple email templates, advanced checklist and folder options, deeper customizations, and enhanced branding capabilities—plus many other improvements.

In 2024, we introduced several key features to further enhance your experience:

• Multiple Review Invitation Email Templates: Customize your communication by creating specific email templates tailored for different departments or design types, ensuring clarity and consistency.  

• Address Book Functionality: Easily save external users’ details or create groups within Approval Studio, eliminating the need to search through mailboxes or copy-paste emails.  

• Enhanced Email Customization: Incorporate your company logo or project-specific information into emails, and dynamically pull project data directly into your communication using our new tags feature.  

• UI Enhancements: We've simplified the user interface for better intuitiveness and introduced a new annotation figure—the arrow—to provide more ways for you to convey specific directions on your designs.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

Having experience working with large Enterprise solutions, we received multiple requests to provide services to smaller teams.

What problem is your product solving and how?

Proofing graphic files remotely is a headache, Approval Studio allows to create on-image annotations to give clear feedback. Managing lots of projects and file versions is tricky, Approval Studio is a file, project, and task management system for design teams.

What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?

Feedback from users, users, and marketing.

What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?

New users would bring new ideas on how to improve our system, what new features to add, etc. That is what we will concentrate on.
