Misleading
For an online approval app, this seems to do what it says it will in terms of BASIC functionality. What this lifetime deal does not include though is the workflows that are featured in one of the videos on this product page. So, if you are wanting to automate your repetitive workflow, you have to buy an enterprise level subscription and continue to pay monthly. Despite them using that feature as a selling point in the marketing videos on the product page.
Response to response: I meant basic in terms of not automated. I said it can do what it says it can, but the workflows are not included. That is why I spent 40 minutes in your system, because once I couldn't set up any automated workflows, this product was no longer useful to me. Good to know you track that stuff from your users though.
Also, in the videos on this product page, it does go in depth about how to set up and use the workflows, hence, the title of my review as misleading. My apologies for not realizing that workflows were just a paid add on, but again, it does not say that anywhere on this page. It just shows how to do it, then after you purchase it, and start trying to set things up, you realize you don't have the ability to do that. So again, feels a little misleading.

First, Approval Studio’s functionality is far from “basic.” According to our logs, your time in the system was about 40 minutes — and it typically takes me longer than that just to walk through the basic functionality in a demo. It’s unlikely you had enough time to explore everything the tool offers.
Second, regarding workflow automation:
It has never been advertised as part of the AppSumo deal, and it isn’t listed on the AppSumo page.
It also does not require an Enterprise subscription. In fact, it is available as an add-on for PRO and PRO XL plans for just $10/month.
The reason it’s priced separately is because building proper workflows is a complex process that often requires assistance from our team. Offering this for free as part of an LTD would not be sustainable.
That said, several of our AppSumo users are already successfully using workflow automation for free. And yes, Tier 1 users won't benefit from the feature at all, as it's built for teamwork.
Approval Studio is designed to be a specialized, professional-grade review tool, particularly for industries where traceability, accountability, and compliance are critical. It may not be the right tool if your main need is workflow automation alone, but for design proofing and structured collaboration, it’s an invaluable solution.

You’ve mentioned the video with workflows a couple of times, and I finally tracked it down. Those videos at the bottom of the page are actually pulled in from YouTube, and some of them aren’t even created by our team — they’re independent reviews. That video wasn't added by us to the product page.
If you look at the feature list on the product page, you’ll see exactly what’s included with each tier, and workflow automation is not listed there.
However, even without native workflow automation, many of our clients use our API and Zapier integrations to automate their processes. On top of that, our Shopify plugin already includes automation of its own, helping to streamline design approvals in e-commerce workflows.
What I’d really like to stress is this: digging a little deeper into Approval Studio will reveal a wide range of powerful features that go far beyond “basic.” Sometimes a quick glance can miss just how much functionality is built in. Thank you for letting me air all that, I think that would be useful to users who reads our "conversation" till the end.
