I am not going to lie, I am not an AI expert.
I wanted a tool to generate images for my personal blog, my startup news and some icons/logos I need on the side... So of course, I came to AppSumo to get a deal.

There are several (excellent) options available here, each utilising various APIs and models to generate the photos. It was all a bit overwhelming to be honest, trying to compare features and limits.

I ended signing up to various free trials and using the prompts provided in this excellent article ( https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/image-generation-ai-models-comparison-john-severinson ). Artsmart.ai does not include a free trial, but as it was the last on my list, I decided to buy the LTD (with the knowledge that the AppSumo 60-day money-back guarantee is rock solid!)

I am VERY glad that I did:

+ The interface was easy to use (not overwhelming like some others), but even with the simpler interface, it did exactly what I wanted.
+ The image quality was by far the best of the bunch I tested.
+ The credit system is easy to use. By default, 1 credit = 1 image. Simple. But there is an advanced menu, where you can tweak parameters, and it will always tell you how many credits it will consume to generate based on your settings.
+ The 'Tone' systems looks interesting, and once I have had some practice with standard image prompts, I'm keen to give this a try.
+ Locking in the 50% discount for plans and add-ons is a very useful feature that wasn't highlighted as much as I think it is worth.

On the downside…

- As AiSmart relies on their own training data and open-source models, customers are reliant on them to continually be updating and advancing these. There is a risk thy will not, and the alternatives offering direct access to models such as DALL-E, Midjourney and Stable Diffusion, etc will overtake AISmart in the future.
- I wish they had a free trial, so others could see just how good this was. I nearly skipped the deal because of this.
- It is not the most feature-complete tool available TODAY, but it is advancing quite rapidly, with the devs consistently adding new features
- I wish the plans were adjusted to allow multiple image generations per prompt. Even if 2 codes stacked to being their 'standard' plan (without API access or extended storage). Just having multiple images alone would have made me consider stacking 2 codes for the extra credits alone!
- Related to the above, perhaps move API access/Extended storage from the standard plan to the business plan and/or offer them as a paid add on (ala Tunes).

Overall, I am very pleased with Ai Smart. Easiest 5-taco review I have delivered.
I think there are some small things they could improve to their plan structure, and I hope to see them continue to actively develop the product in future!
