Simply brilliant! I still made it in time before it expired. Given the quality of the product, I don't think they'll ever return to Appsumo. It synchronizes perfectly with databases. It self-learns the nuances of the database. We can ask anything we want about our database. It creates appealing visuals with graphs and tables. Spelling and captions on the graphs and tables are error-free.

If the system is having difficulty learning the nuances of our database (there are some databases that are a bit more complex), we can provide context for the AI to learn. We can even provide example SQL queries to help it better understand the nuances of our database.

I haven't experimented with the chatbots to include within web apps yet. I don't think I will need to.

But now for the best part, and they didn't even announce it in the Appsumo promo. The best part is that I see they recently launched something called Dashboard / Data Visualizer - which allows you to create your data applications with natural language - CRUD tables, data visualization, and more, all supported through natural language creation and modification. We can create unlimited views. In practice, it's like having a PowerBI on steroids, created with natural language. The views can even have sort and search buttons.

I have already purchased many deals on Appsumo. I'm amazed at how this deal had so few reviews. The product is very mature. I feel sorry for those who couldn't catch the DEAL in time (at this moment I'm writing the review and the deal has just ended). If they ever come back (I doubt it), don't hesitate to buy.

Even if it's not through Appsumo, I think given the power of the product, it justifies the $30/50/100 per month. You can truly "dialogue" with all the data that is in the database.

The best I've heard. It seems that they will soon add functionality to interact with CSVs, Excel tables, and others. Congratulations on this tool. It is extremely useful and very mature. Perfect!!

As I said, I tried several AI database analysis before, and they all kinda fell short, until now. First, this is a desktop app, not cloud-based. This is huge in terms of security and connectivity. Where I am, most cloud-based tools struggle to connect, some don't even propose SSH connectivity and need to add a bunch of IPs whitelisted for access, and anyway are slow as hell when actually querying decent-sized DBs.
With AskYourDatabase Desktop app, all these issues go away: I'm on my own network, things are fast, and yes, SSH is supported.
I was a bit worried about GPT 3.5, but it turns our we get free GPT40-mini, which does the job. I didn't try BYOK GPT-4o yet, but I already get pretty cool results.
For the less good, well sometimes the AI needs some pointers and corrections on which fields and which tables to use, BUT, devs are clever and the AI stores your corrections as Self-Learned Knowledge, and will retain your fixes from now on. How cool is that?
Ah, just one more thing: I'm using non-latin characters, and they get broken in Graphs. If this could be fixed, it would be awesome. I'll create a ticket for that.

So, a little bit of roughness here and there, but all in all an awesome, very useful product.

The possibilities ought to be endless when SQL databases with inbuilt RegEx and patten-matching capabilities meet LLMs. Much is known about what it could do to fast-forward business processes and data analysis. However, the imaginations of individual end users, too, could traverse beyond the scope defined for business purposes; let's say, why not repurpose it for the use cases of information workers? I wanted to see how AskYourDatabase would fare with my queries primarily based on pattern-matching on my notes and some text material, and Woo-hoo! Now, I have an attribute and schema-aware information retrieval engine that returns data based on my SQL queries while actively enriching it. The notes make much more sense as the retrieval process now accounts for additional aspects, such as sequences, logic of organisation, and running threads, and not just spit out static content as is—loving it!

I am using this product to query my local MySql database, and my Postgres (Supabase) cloud db. Both were really easy to set up and use. The set up uses the connection string and is extremely easy. I use the desktop app for easy access to my local db. This produces one of the better charts I have seen, and the tables download in CSV format. After using the product for a few months, I decided to upgrade. I give this 5 Tacos!

Writing this review with "Deal ends in 13 days" left on the counter, but apparently AskYourDatabase decided that they were going to pull this from the platform before the time expires. "We have discontinued AppSumo purchases. Please visit our pricing page to purchase directly"
The product itself is hopeful, and would accomplish everything I needed for my Postgres DB, but if they won't even honor a purchase, then I question their values as a company. I will find a different product that can do the same thing...
