The demo for this product is genuinely impressive and showcases what it could be. It's a fantastic idea, but the user experience completely falls apart during the initial setup—a frustrating disconnect between the product's potential and its reality.

The AppSumo promo code redemption process was a point of immediate frustration. The setup was not straightforward, and it left me with zero confidence that my code was even properly applied. This initial hurdle creates an immediate sense of doubt about the entire service.

The on-screen setup lacks the necessary "tactical knowledge." As a technician with a background in troubleshooting, I found myself trying to guess the correct process rather than following clear, documented steps. There is a huge gap between the product's polished demo and the reality of a difficult and undocumented setup process. A key flaw is the lack of a clear guide on whether virtual numbers, like Google Voice, can be used. The requirement to change my existing carrier voicemail settings is an unreasonable burden for integrating a virtual number and a fundamental flaw that makes this product unworkable for my use case.

Crucial compatibility information is missing. The developers should explicitly state which types of numbers and devices are supported, whether it's a landline, a cell phone, or a virtual number. This basic transparency would save users a lot of time and frustration.

In short, the product is full of potential, but its poor onboarding, lack of documentation, and flawed integration requirements make it nearly unusable for anyone who isn't willing to spend hours trying to make it work. It's a great idea that fails in the execution.

Good: Easy setup, good voice quality, good comprehension.

Bad: 1. The bot repeats itself too often, which makes it seem unnatural. It would be better if the bot asked for missing information and only summarized the message you leave in bullet points at the end. However, it is unclear whether this is even necessary, as a normal mailbox does not do this either. 2. At least in my bots, the content that was actually communicated by the caller is not always forwarded to me. Initially, this was not the case, but now the WhatsApp messages sent to me are incomplete.

To-do: Forwarding when the phone is turned off must be done via email support, but it works now. Should be easier to solve.

Nice to have: Option to specify the actual conversation flow, like on a thread. By this I mean that you can provide important points – such as information that only becomes apparent from the context of the phone call. Example: Asking a real estate agency whether they also operate in the XY area. This would be background information that can be provided in advance, which is not needed in a normal phone call, but should be answered in case of a related question.

I really like this app — it completely replaces my voicemail. I did have some trouble turning off my carrier’s voicemail until I got my phone unlocked, but that was my carrier’s fault, not Automaticall’s.

Now I no longer have to pay for voicemail transcription. Automaticall even screens my calls! I can tell the AI exactly what information I want it to gather and share, and it sends text transcriptions and context straight to my WhatsApp and email.

Best of all, I’m no longer bothered by telemarketers — which is why my voicemail was always full in the first place. I used to just let it fill up so people couldn’t leave messages.

I’m very impressed with Automaticall. You just need to buy this.

Automaticall is easy to set up and works as expected. It also works well in Austria and Germany – with German language. A webhook is also integrated to connect Automaticall with automation tools like Make, n8n, ActivePieces, etc.

I would also like to see more features, such as a knowledge base to pre-train the assistant. More voices for the assistant would also be great. But all of this is already on the roadmap.

Buy now or regret it later. 😉

Spent a bunch of time trying to activate, get set up, and configuring all the settings. This product description really should mention that it is INCOMPATIBLE with all VOIP, including Google Voice. I never would have purchased it or wasted time clicking through settings and attempting setup had I known. It's technically feasible, because some Google Voice customers are using it. Just not any new Sumolings. I have no use using this on my personal number. Plus, iOS26 dev beta has a built-in call screener. Very disappointed 😔
