Product update: Server Side Rendering & White Labeling

Hi everyone 👋

Thank you for all the feedback you’ve shared — I really appreciate it. I’m steadily working on making AvoMap better, and two major issues have come up as top priorities to you:

  • White Labeling not available yet
  • Choppy, unreliable rendering of the videos


Let me dive into these. Many of you mentioned that rendering is slow and resource-heavy, especially on less powerful computers. Adding to that, rendering requires an active browser focus, which can be frustrating. I’ve taken this seriously and have been working hard on implementing server-side video rendering in the past weeks. Server-side rendering will speed up the process significantly—by around 6x—making it faster, reliable, and asynchronous. Once the rendering of your videos is complete, you’ll get an email with a download link. This has been challenging, but I'm close to a beta release. If anyone is interested in testing server-side rendering, feel free to reach out at hello@avomap.com ☝️

Now, on to White Labeling. It’s the most requested feature, so I want to explain the delay. Cloud GPUs are expensive. I needed an accurate estimate of monthly server costs before introducing a white-labeling LTD on AppSumo. Now that I have a clearer idea of the costs, I’m working with AppSumo support to add stackable codes to the current deal, which should make this LTD possible in the near future.

I plan to launch White Labeling that is not tied to a subscription once server-side rendering is fully deployed, tested, and stable. I’m currently estimating another two to three weeks until server-side rendering goes fully live.
