If you make travel, exploring, hiking, or running content (but not limited to), whether for yourself or a client, this one is worth picking up. The output render is great with the option of 4K, and the more time I've spent on it, the more deeper customization I have found.

Stacked a few codes because I know I'll be getting some milage out of this!

As someone who grew up spending hours looking at printed National Geographic maps and atlases, I found this tool a lot of fun! Creating routes domestic or international (i.e. US -> Europe/Asia) easy to do. I'm still learning about adding symbols, route way points, and markers, but it'll come to me with more playing! I do wish for some UI changes like a save-on-exit editing option or delete video option to be more visible and straightforward. Maybe having a YouTube tutorial video for beginners available that highlights features, menus, and options is required? Overall, a fun tool that is useful, informative, and a good learning tool about geography and the world. Support is responsive and friendly.

The software is working well. The creation of videos is fairly easy and it has more/different features than other tools e.g. MapDirector (Freeware). From the tools I tried to create animated travel maps, AvoMap was the best so far. To make it really awesome (and for me to give 5 tacos) two important features are still missing:
1) Reordering of route segments.
2) Upload of GPX data to each route segment so that you truly can create completely custom travel videos or videos of sports activities like triathlon. Or hiking up a mountain and paragliding down. This feature would open up so many more possibilities and really make AvoMap stand out. It was wished for by users in the feature forum multiple times in different requests but so far rejected or ignored. :( I hope this changes!

Another thing that would be nice to have, is the upload of videos or images like in MapDirector, but I do not really need that feature for now.

I got this tool through AppSumo to support my tourism project, and it has proven consistently useful. It offers all the functionality I need to manage my website content creation tasks, even with the entry-level tier credits. The monthly credit rollover feature is also beneficial, allowing unused credits to be carried over for future use instead of expiring.

I was super impressed with AvoMap. This isn't just another map generator; it's a storytelling mapping product.

What I love is how clean and easy to use the product was. For Tobias being a "one man band," I am deeply impressed with the UI/UX. The waypoints and markers are elegant and don't clutter up the screen, so the focus stays on the journey itself. Plus, the creative freedom is fantastic. I can change the colors, add my own logo, and even drop in custom icons for little landmarks along the way, all without needing to be a developer. It's almost like editing a video.

My only tiny wish is that there was a way to have more control over the speed of the animated bubble as it travels along the path. Sometimes I want to slow it down to really show off a particular part of the journey.....that's the only thing I feel is missing.

Honestly, for the value on AppSumo, this is a complete no-brainer. If you create any kind of content that involves travel or visualizing a route, you need this. Currently I don't really have that need, but I still purchased it and I'm keeping it! Five stars, without a doubt.
