What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
I’ve spent the last decade building and scaling B2B SaaS products in the MarTech space. I started on Wall Street, then worked with enterprises in Singapore and across the US, Europe, India, and Brazil. Along the way I bootstrapped multiple SaaS products to 7-figure revenue and successful exits, and trained thousands of professionals at companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, and Deutsche Bank.
My co-founder Hugo ran his own software house for 7+ years, building apps and marketplaces for major Brazilian enterprises like Claro, Banco do Brasil, and Vivo.
Awaz is the result of all those lessons - combining solid engineering, real-world sales problems, and battle-tested infrastructure into one focused product.
What 3rd party tools is your product critically dependent on?
OpenAI – for core LLM and reasoning capabilities
Elevenlabs - for ultra-realistic voices
Twilio / Telnyx – for telephony, phone numbers, and call routing
Where is your customer data stored?
AWS, United States
What is your current monthly recurring revenue (MRR)?
20,000
How many customers do you have today?
385
What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
When Hugo and I started working together in Brazil, we spoke with 100+ businesses across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Everyone said the same thing: “Our real problem isn’t delivery. It’s getting clients and keeping sales consistent.” Hiring and training sales reps was expensive, cold call response rates were dropping, and outbound teams were burning out trying to hit targets. We asked: What if every small and mid-sized business could have a tireless, human-sounding sales rep that works 24/7? That question became Awaz. I’m passionate about Awaz because it gives smaller teams access to “enterprise-level” outbound power - without needing to hire a huge sales floor.
What problem is your product solving and how?
Awaz solves the “consistent conversations” problem. Most businesses know their offer works - they just don’t have enough qualified conversations every week, and their teams are burned out doing repetitive calling and follow-ups.
Awaz helps by:
- Making and receiving calls with human-like AI voice agents
- Qualifying leads, answering FAQs, and booking appointments
- Sending call summaries and outcomes into your tools
- Automating follow-ups with SMS or WhatsApp
- Triggering actions based on what happens in the call (booked, not interested, call back later, wrong number, etc.)
What sets us apart:
Automation-first design – create workflows where calls can automatically:
- Book meetings via Google Calendar
- Forward calls to a human when needed
- Send confirmation or reminder SMS
- Trigger WhatsApp flows via our integration with Wati
- Pull info from your knowledge base (FAQs, docs, website) so agents can answer questions accurately
- Ready-to-go integrations so you don’t start from scratch
- Google Calendar, telephony (Twilio/Telnyx), WhatsApp via Wati, Zapier, Make, CRMs/automation tools, and more.
- Battle-tested for 2+ years with brands like RE/MAX, Tomorrowland, Claro.
- Built so non-technical teams can launch real, production-ready agents - not just pretty demos.
In short: Awaz doesn’t just give you AI calls - it gives you an automated sales & support system that connects to your existing stack and runs on autopilot.
What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
Our #1 goal is to get real-world usage and feedback from Sumo-lings at scale. We’re looking for:
- New use cases and niches we haven’t thought of yet
- Honest feedback on where Awaz shines and where it needs to improve
- Word-of-mouth and case studies that can shape the next phase of the product
What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?
If the campaign goes well, we’ll reinvest into:
- Product development – more templates, better analytics, richer dashboards
- Infrastructure & reliability – higher concurrency, better monitoring, faster call routing
- Integrations – deeper CRM, calendar, helpdesk, and automation integrations
- Support & education – more guides, playbooks, and onboarding flows specifically for non-technical users
The learnings from AppSumo will directly shape our roadmap and help us double down on the use cases that deliver the biggest ROI for users.
Any details to clarify about the deal?
A few important clarifications for Sumo-lings:
- The deal gives you lifetime access to Awaz software on the selected plan/tier.
- You’ll need your own Twilio or Telnyx account to make live calls or purchase a phone number directly using Awaz (we support phone numbers from 20+ countries including US, UK, Europe, Australia, Singapore & South Africa)
- This deal is for the standard Awaz platform, not the separate full white-label partner program.
- Feature and usage limits (e.g., numbers of agents, minutes, or workspaces) will match what’s outlined on the AppSumo deal tiers.
- You can adjust the specifics of limits/minutes later to match the final deal structure.
Awaz is designed to be used globally, but due to telecom and VoIP regulations from our carriers (Twilio/Telnyx), we currently do not support purchasing or using phone numbers from India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh for outbound calling. Most other regions in North America, South America, Europe, Middle East & South East Asia are supported, subject to carrier availability and local regulations.
