Q: Does not look like a LifeTime deal at all. Please correct me.....

From the description it is impossible to understand your pricing!

You sell as if its LTD, yet you charge for every minute.
We can bring our own Twilio account for calls and messaging though.

Then you have a weird 30min AI Call limit? And charge a monthly fee to connect a knowledge base?

Does this mean we need to pay to have call use the AI in combination with the KB? Can we at least bring our own key (BYOK)?

What is Lifetime in your LTD ? It is clearly a very limited freemium account where we pay for usage just like nay other SaaS that does not call itself a LTD.

Please explain.

A: Hi there,

Thanks for raising this. Let us clarify how the AppSumo lifetime deal is structured.

On AppSumo, the “lifetime deal” refers to lifetime access to the Awaz platform license under the tier you purchase. In other words, the platform subscription itself does not renew monthly.

Some parts of the product are still usage-based because they involve live processing while the system is running. Call minutes, for example, require real-time AI processing and telephony infrastructure each time a call is placed. That’s why calls are billed per minute rather than bundled as unlimited usage. We do include 30 free one-time minutes on each plan so users can test the AI agents in production before committing to usage. We don’t include free minutes every month because voice calls involve ongoing costs related to telephony, live AI inference, concurrency, and reliability, since the system is actively processing calls in real time. We prefer transparent, usage-based pricing so we can continue investing in quality, uptime, and support for customers who rely on Awaz in production.

You’re welcome to connect your own Twilio or Telnyx account to manage your carrier setup, but AI processing during calls still happens within Awaz itself, which is why usage-based charges continue to apply on that side.

Awaz is built as a no-code, end-to-end AI agent platform, meaning the AI reasoning layer is part of the system rather than something users need to configure or manage separately. The same applies to Knowledge Base. While users can upload files, URLs, or Q&A content, the Knowledge Base is a live feature that’s actively accessed and processed by the AI during calls when enabled. Because of that, it isn’t just static storage, and it’s handled as a paid feature rather than bundled as unlimited free usage. At the moment, we don’t support bringing your own LLM or API key for Knowledge Base, as it’s designed to work directly with Awaz’s built-in AI layer.

We understand that “lifetime” can be interpreted differently across tools on AppSumo. In our case, it applies to platform access, while components that involve ongoing processing remain pay-as-you-go. This structure allows us to keep investing in quality, uptime, and support for customers running Awaz in production.

Totally understand if this pricing model doesn’t fit every use case, and we really appreciate you taking the time to look into it!
