Q: Quick feedback and question.

Hi team — quick feedback after testing the free trial.

Numbers: it seems you can’t connect any number unless you buy one (~$10). I also couldn’t find MX numbers available.

Twilio: I tried connecting via Twilio, but it looks like an upgrade is still required, so I couldn’t validate the phone workflow (disappointing).

Testing/latency: trial only allowed web calls. I wanted to measure real PSTN latency/quality, so I’m left unsure.

Actions/logging: I added actions (e.g., “schedule a call later”), but after the call nothing shows up in the agent calendar/activity.

Webhook: payload fields aren’t clear in the UI, and the webhook never fires (set to trigger on call end, tested via Make.com).

Main question: are these features disabled in trial? If yes, the trial feels too limited to build confidence before get the appsumo deal. Thank you!!!

A: Hi there,

Thank you so much for sharing such detailed feedback, it’s appreciated and helpful!

On phone numbers, you’re correct that a number needs to be connected in order to test real PSTN calls. You can connect your own phone number into Awaz with a small $2 connection fee, or purchase a phone number directly through Awaz, which is $10. Not all regions are available natively inside the platform, as some countries require additional verification or carrier restrictions, which is why connecting your own Twilio or Telnyx number is sometimes necessary. If you already have a verified and paid Twilio or Telnyx account, you can connect it to Awaz without an additional connection fee on our side. A verified and paid account on these Telephonies are required in order to complete the connection and properly validate the phone workflow.

Regarding testing and latency, the trial includes 30 free AI call minutes, which can be used in different ways depending on how you choose to test the platform. If you prefer a completely free setup, those minutes can be used with web calls to explore agent behavior, logic, and responses. If you’d like to test real PSTN call quality and latency, you can do so during the trial as well by connecting or purchasing a phone number. In that case, the 30 free minutes still apply, with any phone number or own connected telephony-related costs handled separately.

On actions such as “schedule a call,” this action is designed for phone-based outbound scenarios, where a recipient asks the AI agent to call them back at a later time. In those cases, the system schedules the follow-up and reflects it as expected. When testing via web calls, however, there isn’t a phone number for the agent to call back, so that behavior won’t appear in the same way.

For webhooks, Awaz does support webhook actions directly within the AI agent settings for advanced or custom API-based integrations. However, if you’re integrating through Make, you don’t need to configure those webhooks manually. We have a published module in Make.com called "Digital Influencers", which provides ready-to-use modules and presets for common workflows. The built-in webhook actions are intended primarily for users integrating directly via our API.

To your main question, these features are not disabled in the trial. The trial is meant to let users explore the platform, configure agents, and test call flows. Some production behaviors, particularly those involving real phone calls and carrier connectivity, do require a connected number to fully evaluate.

We appreciate you taking the time to test the platform and share your observations! Feedback like this is helpful in understanding how users experience the trial and how we can better communicate what to expect.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes — I saw it’s possible to test using our own number for $2, but every time we tried we got this messa:

“Your account cannot connect phone numbers. Please contact our support to enable it.”

Looks like you're using our free trial directly from our website. Yes, phone number buying & connection is gated behind a short verification step. Our team can help enable this through the chat widget if needed.
If you purchase as an AppSumo user, this verification is not required and AppSumo's refund policy for the tier deal applies if you decide it's not a fit.
Both paths are available.

Also, I want to confirm something about the AppSumo plans: all tiers (including Tier 4) are designed for a single business only, meaning it’s not a white-label setup and it doesn’t allow creating sub-accounts for clients — correct?

I mention this because it would be much more attractive if we could at least create sub-accounts (even without full white-label functionality). Thanks in advance

That’s correct. All AppSumo license tiers, including Tier 4, are designed for a single business use. They are not a Whitelabel setup and do not support creating sub-accounts for clients.

Our Whitelabel solution is offered separately through our website, as it includes a more advanced setup for reselling, sub-account management, and platform rebranding.

Thank you for your understanding!
