Q: I tried out the free version of BackgroundCut on your website in order to see if it could be helpful to me.
I need a background remover and BackgroundCut seems to have some features that I like, but I wanted to ask if you have any plans to improve certain things.
As I was trying BackgroundCut on your website, I noticed these things:
1 - There is no Undo/Redo buttons, and Command-Z doesn't work either. So, it's not easy to fix mistakes when I make them.
2 - Panning is not possible. We can only zoom in and out.
3 - I tried using the hair tool, but it gives me an error message when I click on "Process" in order to apply the changes.
4 - It's quite difficult to fix parts of the image that the AI missed. I tried using the "minus" brush to remove parts of the background that the background remover didn't get, but I just end up with a pixel edge when I try to remove these parts myself. The reason for this is that the brush for making these edits is actually a hard brush. Since it's a hard brush, it produces a rougher and more pixelated result on the areas that I edit, compared to the smoother results that the AI produced.
5 - Also, I wish the brushes would work on "Preview" mode, since it's difficult to see all of the parts of the image that the background remover missed. These are small parts that aren't visible if the whole image is visible, with only the masked area being marked in green. I can only see these parts if I go on "Preview" mode, which will make the background transparent and let me see any small areas that the background remover missed. I just wish we could use the + and - brushes when in this mode, so we can edit the parts that need editing and clearly see what we're doing in the process. Currently, this isn't possible to do.
Do you have any plans to improve these features?
I will be keeping an eye on this app, since a background remover would be a very helpful tool to me. I hope BackgroundCut will continue to get better.
Thank you
