Here is why you need this background removal tool
I saw some of these background removal tools come around, and I wondered why I would need such a dedicated tool when background removal is a feature of one of my favorite Mac apps, Pixelmator Pro. Also, it is a feature of some other LTD products that are mainly for assembling graphics for social media, and similar uses.
So, I used Pixelmator Pro to remove backgrounds, and it works pretty well. Yet, it only works fast on a new M1 Mac. I am finding that I now prefer much less expensive computers that have touch screens, such as a Lenovo Flex. I am getting to the point where most of my software is online and accessible from any computer that can run the desktop version of Chrome. So, a Chromebook works, but not an iPad.
The other day, I was using the Lenovo, and I thought, "wouldn't it be nice to have a SaaS tool for background removal?" I tried one of the social media graphics tools I already have that does background removal as a side feature. It was ok, but there was additional editing to do with some artifacts, and it took a long time to process. Also, I disovered that that particular tool limits how many removals I can do per month. Even if I only do it occasionally, I hate to see an artificial limiting quota, telling me that I can only do 30 removals per month, or whatever. I'm not going to do thousands, or probably even tens, but I don't like those kinds of limits.
When I came here to look for a dedicated background removal tool, I tried this one first, because it included unlimited usage for one code. I was super impressed with the quality. There was no artifact, hair was well done, and processing was very fast.
I'm not going to obsess over the API and bulk upload features. If these were not part of the deal and never mentioned, I would still think this was a good deal for a good product that works fast, effectively, and offers unlimited use for a single code.
