Q: Hi, I just started using Backlink Checker and looks really useful, saving time and giving great peace of mind.

I feel Backlink Checker has much potential with continual development, as I'm monitoring backlinks in the SEO community is massive.

Will you be implementing where you just need to add the 'Link From Page' and Backlink Checker will scan the page and detect the 'Link to URL', 'Rel Tag' and 'Anchor' to add backlinks easier? This is different to the Automatic new backlink detection feature on your roadmap.

I use a desktop app called Backlink Monitor where you just add the 'Link to URL' which does make life easier and it would be great if Backlink Checker does this.

Thanks

A: Also, if right now, you don't give the anchor text or rel tag, we consider it as empty, & just check if the link_to is present in link_from. If yes, we show the status = 'Present' & give anchor text or rel tag we found on that page in Error Code page.

This way you can check if the info is correct or not and update the link details accordingly.

You still need to tell the domain as well, right ?

Otherwise how would we know for which domain do we have to check ?

I would create a list per domain. Therefore the domain would be entered in the 'Add New List' settings, such as 'website.com'.

To add the backlinks, go to the add links section and paste all the links in a box, press 'Add Links', job done. So much quicker.

When you add links now, what happens if you do not add anchors or rel tag?

Nice Idea, what we can do is ask the user for every list, the list of domains whose links they would add in that list because one list could have association with multiple domains.

On the other hand, we are also trying to figure out a way in which we can automatically crawl the backlinks for a domain and then ask you to select the ones which you would want to crawl.
In that case, the feature you suggested wouldn't be required, right ?

Crawling the whole domain sounds like a long-term development project and would use much more processing power. Whereas for the user to just add the 'Linking from URL' would be easier to implement and make it easier for the user to add backlinks to track

Hey, understood what you are trying to say here.

I have added this todo in our roadmap page - https://www.backlinkchecker.info/roadmap

It would be great if you can give us a vote there. If this feature requirement gets enough upvotes, we will take it up in execution.
