Hi Nick, is it also possible to upload and install a downloaded backup to a new domain directory via FTP without first installing a WordPress instance, as with Duplicator? If not, is this planned? This is a very important feature for me and would make Duplicator and Updraft obsolete.

Hi Nick, thank you for your reply. Yes exactly, like Duplicator originally works: I download a packed archive file (and probably an installer.php), upload both to an empty FTP directory and can start the installation via new\u002Ddomain.com/installer.php

For me personally, this is simply more convenient than having to install a WordPress instance and a plugin beforehand. However, I am already very enthusiastic about the staging function of BackupBliss, so I will definitely stick with it :\u002D)

Hi Nick, I\u0027ve tested the plugin a few times now, with backups and staging sites, and have had problems with every site so far, so I\u0027ve had to resort to another solution. I\u0027ve been waiting for feedback from support since June 24 and have just asked again today.
