Ok, crossing my finders. I basically have imapbackup running on a VPS to handle this. It works but again this is with script, and config files and while it works it is not very elegant. And restore is manual.
I hope you would look into this:

Or alternatively this (which I have implemented on a VPS with a docker that backs up to a compressed BTRFS filesystem which saves lots of space (as duplicate date doesn't really take up space)).

P.S. Imapsync can restore directly to IMAP which IMAPbackup cannot (at least the Python 3 version I use).
Nice! The imapsync tool looks great but I'm not sure if they will allow us to it in the SaaS tool :)
If you know of any open-source tool then let me know. Most of the time goes into testing good enough tools and testing. If the tool is good then 50% of the work is already done.
