Bait And Switch
When I purchased this there were many endpoints provided for quicker backups closer to my servers. My endpoint was Canada. The options for storage locations with BackupSheep was BackupSheep (three locations), Decentralized, and your own personal location).
Everything was so awesome and I was ready to write an excellent review for this app, until...
Soon after my 60 days to request a refund expired, all the endpoints have been removed and your only option is Germany, which now takes me 3 hours just to backup one of my websites. All the storage locations Blacksheep provided, including the Decentralized and been removed and I am left with 1 default.
Support is non-existent. The only way to contact support is through the chat bubble and it has been over 3 week since writing this review with multiple posts requesting a response and have yet to receive a response.
All the positive reviews here were true. This was an excellent product, but Everything change during August of 2022 when Bilal sent out an announcement, "If your backups are configured in our Asia (Singapore), Oceania (Sydney) or North America (Canada) region then please update your integration settings to use one of our endpoints in Europe (Germany) before August 1st, 2022."

At this point I would recommend passing on this if you value your backup data.

May 9, 2024Hi, kwsim. I'm sorry if you feel it was bait and switch. I can assure you that all these changes were done to improve the quality of the platform and user experience for the majority of users.
After AppSummo our users are increased by 3x and backup nodes by 5x and growing every day. The hardware is just not available at a reasonable cost in Singapore, Australia and Canada.
We selected Europe because 80-90% of our users are from Europe or surrounding regions. Our storage cluster is also deployed in Europe so total backup time is improved in many cases.
The Decentralized storage was horrible. The download speed was just 20Mbps and it took us around 2 weeks to take out 11TB of data.
Also, there's zero price increase. Many users are still paying us $5 or $10 per month fees from 2018 plans.
There was a significant delay in support because of users abusing our system. Some of it was unintentional and some were intentional.
I had chat with you a few minutes ago and I provided all the details. Hopefully, you are satisfied now.
If the backup speed is slow then please try to increase Parallel Downloads in node settings. Yes, it may still be slow but the overall system is much better and scalable now.
