Great, but...
Banerboo does what it says it does so I have given it 5 tacos. But the interface is a little buggy - for e.g. I was working on my first banner, saved it after adding all the elements, setup the animations and then realised the save button has frozen. Whatever I did I was not able to save. Had to restart and lost most of the work I had done. I don't know if that is what normally happens. Haven't worked on it again since buying this about a month back. But it does what I need and I only hope I encountered a random bug. SVG animator sounds good but haven't tried it yet.

Sorry about the inconvenience with the save button. That definitely doesn’t sound like the normal experience, and we’ll look into it. Losing work is always frustrating, so thank you for letting us know.
Just a quick tip: you can also use Ctrl+S to save your banner while working. On Mac, it should be Cmd+S. It’s a handy shortcut, especially when building more complex banners.
And yes, definitely give the SVG Animator a try when you have a chance — hope you’ll like it too!
