Q: I didn't get any reply from your customer support, so I will try here.

How can I see reports from the tasks I have recorded time?
There is no point in being able to record time and not being able to see reports, right?

Q: Hello, nice looking tool!

I have two questions:
1. Would you consider adding folders as a second level of hierarchy in a workspace? (Sorting multiple projects for diff. clients)
2. Will you offer more languages in the future? (German in my case)
Thank you!

Q: Can I check if I'm a professional account user and under my team there are 5 members who are free users?

Can I assign them to more than 3 projects? Or the maximum number of projects they can handle at one time is only 3? Thanks!

A: Thank you for your question!

Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with Agiled. I’m adding some information about BasicOps that perhaps can help answer your question.

What is BasicOps…
BasicOps isn’t just a regular Project Management tool, it is “the one place” to work together on projects, tasks and notes by communicating and messaging with the relevant people in real time.
BasicOps is super easy to use for anyone, not just project managers :-) Teams can keep conversations about work in “one place” and avoid endless discussions in email and Slack. For team meetings you can collaborate directly in project notes and turn action items into tasks.

With BasicOps your team can enjoy:
* Working the way you want to work
* Project Workflows and Automations
* Discuss and share files directly in tasks with your team, so everything is in context
* Chat and group chat with anyone on your team
* The Feed - where you can monitor everything happening within your projects, and take action directly.
* Working directly with Vendors, Customers Clients and Agencies
* Writing Notes and directly turn any action item into a task
* Work on Google Docs within BasicOps

We also have integrations with:
* Google Drive and Docs
* Google Gmail and Calendar
* Box, Dropbox, and OneDrive
* GitHub and Jira
* Slack
* Webex and Zoom

I hope this answers your questions?

Q: Hi!

What is the best way to record my screen explanining the task to my team and then uploading the video to the task?

An embeding player within the task would be great... Maybe a screen recorder that saves to google drive and provide the gdrive link and we can use this link to embed the video on the task?

Right now Im using vimeo screen recorder, and I provide the link inside the task notes.

A: If you upload an mp4 or QuickTime file to a task you can watch the video inline in BasicOps. I suggest that you go to Discussions either in a task or in a project, write a short introduction, and add the video file to the discussion.

A: Thank you for your question!

There are a lot of differences and I will highlight a couple here...

BasicOps is super easy to use for anyone in a company or organization, not just project managers. That way you can adopt is across your company 🚀

BasicOps is “the one place” 🎖 to work together on projects, tasks and notes by communicating and messaging with the relevant people in real time. Chat and group chat are seamlessly integrated, so work can move work forward inside or outside projects and tasks.

I also want to highlight the Feed 📝 , where you can monitor and respond to everything that happens within your projects instantly. You will never miss a beat!

Teams can keep conversations ☎️ about work in “one place” and avoid endless discussions in email, text and Slack.

For team meetings you can collaborate directly in project notes 🗒 and turn action items into tasks.

Last but not least, we have amazing integrations: Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Google and Microsoft Calendars, Emails, Slack, Zoom, Pabbly and Zapier and more…

I hope this helps and that you will try out BasicOps!

Please evaluate their offerings and tell us why your product is better. Your answer to this will convince people to buy or go for one of the other offerings mentioned. Because as you know, the majority of buyers here do read the questions and reviews.

Do you have a CNAME support for custom domain whitelabeling? So far, I could only see the logo to be changed under whitelabelling option.

Q: Will there be a way to organize and nest vendor/client projects?

In the dashboard it does not appear possible, and for my team with multiple client accounts and well over 100 different ongoing projects to manage, the lack of ability to organize project or even sort vendor/client is a distinct disadvantage.

Q: its missing a key feature, as an all in one project management tool, so do many project management tolls.

as business runners we tools, apps, websites, etc to run business, and you would think a good project manager will have a bookmark feature or something that will allow you to have all your tools in one place and organised, easy to access by you and team to get work done faster and efficiently. but for some reason most project management apps will skip this.

A: Thank you for your question!

There are plenty of places to add your bookmarks and tools information. I would add them to the description, discussions, or notes in a project so everyone on the project team can access them. You can easily add them to a template and keep everyone on the same page.

Q: few questions - what constitutes a user?

is both a team member/employee and client considered a user?

for the storage limits - is that per file uploaded or total amount alotted? if we need more, do we need to purchase another license (stack them), to get more space?

A: Thanks for your question Roye!

All users, including Clients, are counting towards the user count.

The storage is per Workspace, so it is important to choose the right Tier for the long term.

Q: Hi, I have 2 questions: 1.

Can it dependably handle the up & downloading of 5-10 GB files (large video files)

2. With an article writing workflow (outline - article writing - designer - editor - publisher), would it work efficiently? With 10 articles per day. So would that be 10 projects per day, or 10 subtasks within a project, with sub-subtasks?

Thanks
Tom

A: Thank you for your questions, Tom!

1. Yes, BasicOps can handle large video files. You can also use Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, box, and DropBox to store your files and then use directly in BasicOps.

2. I would use sections (outline - article writing - designer - editor - publisher) and tasks in a project, where you can move tasks from one section to another. That way you can mirror your workflow.

Q: I am looking for something to help me manage staff tasks (for example a property inspection).

This task would be a sort of work order assigned to someone - they would need to see some information on the task (access details, on-site contact, property address, property name etc) and be able to report back with their comments and photos.

The contractor would fill out a form or task record detail when on-site.

1) Can I prefill form values by passing them as query string parameters to the form page? ie propertyid=123456

2) Can I do a custom JSON API call with a variable passed in ?propertyid=123456 before the form loads?

i.e. the custom api call would be

http://www.site.com/json/getPropertyName

{ "propertyid": "123456", "authkey": "123456" }

then the form would pull the property name from an API and display it on the form page before loading the form

The benefit is you could have an updateable form that pulls existing data and prefills it

3) Our contractors would take 40-60 photos of a job, is there an upload type optimise photo that would resize the size (resize to 1000x1000 max sides) and quality of each photo (90% compression) on the client-side (javascript) before uploading them on the form to reduce data and storage usage?

A: We are using a multi-tenant platform, this has become an industry standard over the years. Your data are very secure, on each single access to data the user's credentials are verified, and this provides only access to information belonging to that single workspace. Within that single workspace the user's access to data may be limited even further depending on the access control, particular via projects, set up within the workspace.
