Overview

bCast is a podcast hosting, distribution, and analytics platform designed to transform listeners into leads.

It’s time to get straight to business with bCast’s Auto Opt-In.

bCast generates an email address for you to read on-air, allowing listeners to message that address and opt in to your offer directly.

The lead is then sent through bCast into your CRM, or you can use the Zapier Webhook integration to interface with tools like ConvertKit and Mailchimp to easily add them into your sales funnel. (If ya can’t beat ‘em…)

If you’ve got a YouTube channel, you can even connect to bCast to get your podcast content auto-transformed to video and posted to a playlist on your channel.

Use Auto Opt-In to quickly get email leads from on-air offers!

bCast gives you an easy way to get all those sponsors and calls-to-action (CTAs) in your podcast, too. (@ us, MeUndies!)

Dynamic Content Insertions let you plug audio clips straight into your recording with only a few clicks.

While you’re plugging in content to previous episodes, you can pay to get your podcast professionally edited right from the bCast dashboard, instead of looking for editors yourself.

bCast also lets you choose season numbers for episodes and tag whether the content is a bonus episode or trailer for easy distinction.

Quickly add sponsor clips and CTAs to any episode with Dynamic Content Insertions!

You can host your podcast website on your own domain to avoid site names that distract from your brand.

Your site visitors will also have the option to subscribe to the podcast and get on your email list right from your page for even more leads.

The automated transcription feature also lets you maximize the SEO value of your content by loading the text onto your site, plus boosts accessibility.

Give your guests the heads-up when their episode goes live with notification emails for one or more guests, which come complete with easy-to-share links auto-generated in the email copy.

Now you’re in position to quickly leverage guests’ platforms without fumbling with long URLs (or accidentally sending the wrong one). Oops.

Host your podcast on your own domain for that professional feel!

bCast even gives you another opportunity to boost your bottom line with integrated affiliate links.

Add your affiliate links to the bCast podcast player and website to grab 30% commission on all the customers you send back their way.

The embeddable player even has an email opt-in form to collect subscribers while they’re listening.

Plus, detailed analytics with IAB download compliance give you increased accuracy to see how well your podcast is doing.

So not only will your podcast grow, but you’ll create a feedback loop that boosts the platform, which will likely increase your listeners.

The analytics give you insight into how your podcast is performing and converting!

Much like that summer “internship” at your uncle’s restaurant, your podcast shouldn’t take up all your energy if it doesn’t pay.

For the best chance at growing your business through podcasting, you want a platform that pulls its weight and works for you.

bCast offers easy listener conversion paired with quick sponsor and CTA plugs for maximum returns.

Q: Unfortunately, bCast has backed out of their promise to us Sumolongs.

I'm very disappointed that we recently received an email from them explaining that they will not be honoring their Lifetime Deal Promise, and we have TWO WEEKS to start paying or lose our podcast feeds.

Very disappointing.

Q: I've been using bCast for an almost 2 years after I purchased the Appsumo Lifetime deal.

After previously using Anchor (a good service, however their business model is based on getting you to pay extra money after 6 months when your podcast begins to grow), we decided to switch platforms and found bCast, which is a great platform that has been improving almost daily since it was started in September 2017.

I particularly like how they have implemented Spotify integration in just a month or two of having been on the market, so this is amazing!

THE STRONG SIDE OF BCAST
One of the most difficult things about operating a podcast platform such as bCast is figuring out how to cater to an international audience by delivering a large quantity of huge media files, faster than your competitors, at the click of a button. It can be challenging at first without scaling your own systems and infrastructure in advance to prevent having to revisit your structures in the future, but it's worth it in the long run.

By 2021, Bcast hosted over 145,000 audio files. If you tried listening to them all back-to-back (yes, that does mean all those past guests!) it would take over 35 years! They also transported 39 terabytes of file data within just 7 months of launching!

There are many things that need to be taken care of when it comes to catering to customers. But when you're on the development side, it's also important for the product not to stand still. They've found that adding new features continuously since they launched has been great for keeping certain factors fresh in the minds of theirs customers and sponsors.

Some of the previous features they have added to bCast include midroll audio inserts and a new analytics revamp. One of those additions was very technical like the latter, but it’s safe to say that adding these features must have been challenging for their team nonetheless!

Bcast analytics database holds over 45 million rows as I write this, growing by over 100 rows per minute. But they are also happy to share with us, the new version 2 of bCast, there is now a fresh, modern user interface!

bCast is like a soap opera. The cast changes with every new actor that comes on board and sometimes actors leave the show for good or are killed off, but there’s always someone new to take their place. So far, they’ve had over 1,200 internal versions of the bCast code because that’s how the entire team works – constantly rewriting and improving the project by adding features with each new version they release.

Thankfully, their awesome development team has taken care of everything as they continue working hard to deliver yet another great product.

THE LTD ISSUE.
Recently, the owners of Bcast received a lot of backlash from users upon the announcement that the LTD was going to be discontinued. They were planning on eliminating this feature completely but were not able to ignore outcries from users who found the change unappealing. The site owners listened to their

Q: Hello, Would you please clarify how long you require to respond to emails usually?

I’ve been waiting for 14 days to get a response from an email sent tom@bcast.fm, and 12 days to get a meaningful response for an email sent to support@bcast.fm other than we received your email and we will come back to you later.

My problem is as follows: after granting access to your platform to one of our clients as a subaccount in your system, he complained that the list of available languages to create a podcast in your system is very much smaller than the list of podcasting approved languages on Apple, Spotify, and Google. Our client’s podcasts published on your platform have been rejected by Apple and Spotify because he wasn’t able to find the language of his podcasts (Hebrew and Arabic) in the drop menu of available languages for creating a podcast on your platform, and he had to choose English, which is the default option.

I thought maybe raising the issue here on our beloved AppSumo platform may push your team to solve a minor issue such as adding more languages to the drop menu of the podcast languages in your platform to be compatible with the list of available podcasting languages on Apple and Spotify. If you are unable or does not want to solve this issue, or do not want to solve it for any reason, please make this clear in order to refund the codes we stacked for your platform from AppSumo and move the podcasts of our client to another developer from Appsumo family who provide identical services to your platform such as lisntr.tech, podcast.co and SoundWise. The latter is currently offering a lifetime subscription through our beloved AppSumo platform.

Best wishes

Sam
