Exactly the podcasting platform I needed

I launched a podcast a few years ago through Spreaker. At the time, I didn't know anything about podcasting and took the recommendation from a friend. While I do like Spreaker—and its feature set is currently more mature than Bcast—it is still missing services that I found myself looking elsewhere for and having to pay even more for. Spreaker costs me $218 a year. Just to host this podcast that I want to leave available to the public (I'm proud of what I created) but is essentially totally abandoned. I just can't justify that. It also doesn't do any sort of transcripting, and I have no control over ads except choosing whether to allow them or not (currently, I do not, because I hate the invasive nature of typical podcast ads. That's just not my brand).

Bcast covers ALL of that with ONE payment for life. And I had no idea that by letting Spreaker submit my content to Apple and Spotify, I was essentially giving up control of it, so I don't see having to submit my own stream to the big platforms as a drawback. The no-yearly-fees for life, combined with the transcription ability are what won me over with Bcast. Add on to that the ability to easily and quickly swap my own ads in and out, PLUS having an easy-access opt-in email? Sold. Easy decision. I'm hoping in the future we get a ConvertKit API (because I ahbor Zapier's charge-by-the-zap model) but I can live with that for now.

Anyway, if you're thinking of doing this, consider how much cheaper it is than your current service for just one year. And consider what you get for basically never having to pay again. No brainer.
