I feel cheated
I don't have a podcast. But when I checked bcast out... it felt amazing! I loved the product. And since I think that podcasting will play a huge role in digital marketing in the next couple of year, I bought 3 codes. $237 in total. I wanted to support bcast as a company, because I really want them to make it. Even if that meant not using the product for now.
Well, I just received an email from Tom saying that "we will need to break a promise. A promise we made to all lifetime deal customers. So it’s with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that at the end of December, all bCast lifetime accounts will expire."
When we buy deals on Appsumo, we are taking a risk. Companies might go bankrupt, they might be acquired by other companies, etc. But this isn't that. If they feel like this is the only possible solution to survive as a company, then so be it. But if they don't give the lifetime users the chance to get our money back, then it's fraud. Plain and simple. They're not just breaking "a promise", they're breaking a contract.
I asked a refund directly to Tom. If I get a response, I'll edit this review. If I don't... then you know how trustworthy and honest he is.
