Great tool (but a few improvements needed).
Beacon is a good basic ebook / lead magnet maker with optin-ins and other features that offers great value, especially as a LTD. (I have Designrr Pro - but dislike it - and use Affinity Publisher for bigger projects.)
In regards to Beacon: Importing from a blog URL is limiting in terms of lay-out flexibility.
Some issues for me: The need to rearrange images and/or text with a copy + paste action (to fill white space gaps made by the page import) can lead to glitches / stuttering screen, at least this is the case when using Chrome. Also, I wish you could move these imported sections (images, text, etc) around like blocks in a page builder. And reading correctly and apply the chosen font to all <H> tags, not just the <H1> headline. Furthermore, center-alignment of portrait/vertical images doesn’t work; they stay left-aligned.
However, a good work around that gets better results is to copy + paste your blog into the Flow aka Continuous Page (rather than using the URL import page).
IMPORTANT: If using Cloudflare CDN (or WebARX or another WP security plug-in) MAKE SURE HOTLINK PROTECTION is temporarily turned off, otherwise you can’t import blog images. (And uploading to Beacon and reinserting manually is the only other – time-consuming – alternative). This issue is also true if using Designrr.
I would like to see more options on floating toolbar:
1. Color background s/ boxes for highlighted text.
2. Line Height and paragraph adjustments.
3. Visual examples of all fonts in the drop-down and the ability to have favorite fonts pinned to top.
Also, we need an effective UNDO option (sometime Crtl+Z works, not always).
I haven't played with custom domain or a SmartPDF, yet.
Anyway, support is excellent - Thanks Eoin! (He added two fonts from Google within hours.)
Overall, a great product that will only get better.
