Love it
I never do reviews. But I used Beacon's chat last night - it said "back tomorrow" (which was fine it wasn't urgent). But actually, I got a reply back within 15 minutes. So, I figured I would leave a review.
For me, I have no trouble making lead magnets & good looking PDFs. Making templates is my business. But it's about time saving. I spend all day every day making templates for others. So, when it comes to content upgrades, I want it to take a few minutes not a few hours.
The first time I used Beacon was a bit meh. It is not drag and drop, meaning that moving stuff around annoyed me.
BUT once you get your head around the way it works, it is pretty easy and it makes sense. Duplicating pages so you keep the page style helps (ie. If there is a page background) then you can edit the content.
Although it is no issue for me, I hate making lead magnets & content upgrades. The reason for this is the number of steps involved. You need to make your content, upload it to your cloud (S3 etc), set up your emails, create your to opt-in boxes/pop-ups, link it all together and hope.
With Beacon, it is literally all in one place. Once you're ready to publish, you set up ALL the other steps right there and Beacon will deliver your content for you. All you need to do, is add a tiny bit of code wherever you want to opt-in boxes on your site. They even turn the cover into a mockup so it looks good.
I had already created an ebook, about 150 checklists for an online course, and a monthly magazine.
Yesterday, I decided to test out the content delivery. I turned a blog post into a great looking PDF and set up the emails etc.
Within about 20 minutes I'd signed up (test obvs) and had received the PDF in my inbox.
The opt-in boxes looked great & totally matched my site design.
20 minutes for this is a big win. Yes, I can make amazing looking content myself. But for freebies, I don't want to spend hours.
There are a few tiny things that could be better. But I think they have improved a few things, even in the past week. I know there will be more improvements.
So, this has gone from a "hmm, I've bought another Designrr that I don't use much"... To "I love this and am likely to use it all the time!"
5 Tacos!!
