A: Most realistically it won't be included in the LTD deal because Plaid has a monthly recurring cost. I'm still thinking about it, butI think what would be fair is offer a discount to LTD users who would later upgrade. I'm opened to suggestions though.
Q: Hello Romain,
Thank you for bringing us this deal.
I really appreciate it. I’m impressed with what you have so far. A few questions if you don’t mind: 1. If you were to charge APPSUMOLINGS for Plaid to connect to financial accounts(Vanguard for me), how might this work? A one time fee or recurring monthly fee? Your price here is very reasonable which I completely understand and I appreciate that PLAID is a cost you need to recoup but appsumolings hate paying lifetime deals then having a subscription to pay after so I’m just trying to weigh the deal realistically. Thank you for any insights.
2. If I took the time to set up my account manually(I have about 50 stocks currently some spanning 26 years) will this track and reinvest my dividends Automatically? If not, Is this something you are likely to be able to add? If so, I plan on purchasing mutual funds, would it be able to do the same? 3. I see you track % gain but I’m curious if you can add a metric where we can track % gain over different time periods. For instance I might own a stock and have a 50% gain which looks good but when factoring in purchase date was 10 years ago on an annual basis this would not be as great of a return. To be able to see this in a column or some other view I think would be valuable 4. What you have created here is pretty impressive, it does look a little basic and could use some refinement in places. I have bought a few investment deals here but found several stop innovating after Appsumo. I know you’ve been traveling the last year(Congratulations I think that is awesome and hope you are having a great time!). I’m curious how committed and passionate you are about this project? Will you be focusing on this in 2023 or is this just a pet/hobby project for you? I appreciate anything you don’t mind sharing!
Thanks again for bringing this here and for your patience with my questions. I believe there is a real need for a really good portfolio tracker.
A: Thanks a lot for your kind comments and questions!
1. I've not really thought about it but realistically it would have to be a recurring fee as Plaid charges a monthly fee per connected account.
2. Currently, you would have to enter dividends manually. However, if Vanguard lists all transactions in exports, you might be able to have everything with just a csv import. I definitely want to be...
Q: Hello how are you?
I'm from Brazil and would like to know if this will work for stocks, real estate funds etc traded in my country? Or only for US investments.
romainsimon
May 14, 2024A: Yes, it works for many countries including Brazil.

Q: Why it does not track cash ?

May 14, 2024A: Good question, it's not currently supported but will be added in the future!

Q: When you will add Plaid broker synchronizations - would you provide this integration to LTD?
- if you would charge for it - would it be a an LTD deal or LTD related discount?

Q: Hello Roman I am wondering if Beanvest will automatically track and account for dividends paid?
I have opened a free account but it doesn't appear to show dividends paid on the holdings entered (Australian shares)

May 14, 2024A: Hi Jay,
Currently you have to add dividends manually but it's one of those features I'd really like to add next!
