When I found Beep on AppSumo, it was newly launched and without any reviews. So I was a bit skeptical to buy it. Read the Q&A on their page. I visited their website and was convinced by their proposed use cases and displayed social proof to give Beep a trial run.

I was preparing myself for a tedious or long process to use the tool but I was so pleasantly surprised. I just needed to download the extension, register and it was ready to go. Also felt the experience & support was a nice balance between helping to not feel lost, but at the same time not feeling like I was being handheld like a baby (which some other tools do, and you end up doing a how-to tutorial session that lasts around 5 minutes without being able to do what you got it to do within that time). In other words, this is a great tool to ask coworkers or clients to start using without being a burden on their time. And in other words, it does look like the team behind Beep cares enough about the user-end of the tool. Wouldn't be surprised if the developers have UX backgrounds.

I had to manually change the "Option+C" shortcut to create comments since I had another tool already using it. Not difficult though as Beep did provide a support article to guide me through that process. No complaints there.

Tried it out further with some of my coworkers, and realized there was no way I could fully get the most from this without upgrading. And for a $49 price tag? that's almost a steal! So I bought it and here I am leaving a glowing review.

will probably come back to buy a tier 2 (or even 3) license soon!
