Updating my original review - and happy to do it. I just got off the phone with Juraj (yes, I said phone. Who gives that much attention these days? Who? This guy).

So after a bunch of back and forth with the Better Uptime team, I kind of hit a wall. My support ticket and review caught Juraj's eye and he, as a founder, decided to step in and see what was going on here. I'm glad he did.

After a lot of diagnostics, he and I figure out what was up with Cloudflare and why some people who use it were fine while others weren't. Turns out that we were using features that were superseding others that we needed for Better Uptime to work for us. Usually we'd just whitelist their IP addresses however, they use lots of dynamic addresses in order to diversify their geography to get better data.

The details are kinda nerdy (user agents, country rules, etc) and you'll get the full story in a day or so when they release an entire knowledge base article specifically dedicated to this. The long and short is that we fixed the issue with some reconfiguration on my part and that will work for anyone. In the meantime, Juraj and his team are continuing to work with Cloudflare to be completely whitelisted on their platform so that nobody has to deal with this again.

I'm confident that this will all be sorted out as soon as Cloudflare can get to it. These guys are new so I don't blame Cloudflare for not recognizing them and I applaud them for not taking my feedback the wrong way. The net result is that you all now have a better product and that's what matters.

I'm sticking with these guys as I think they are smart and I believe that this is going to be a successful SaaS. I've rolled the dice on much less attentive and professional startups that have worked out pretty well. I think this is their game to lose considering the uptime monitoring space. I'll say, now that it's working for me, the experience is pretty great.
