I was on the fence of buying this, since there are other monitoring tools with some generous free plans. I was using freshping for this, and gave Better Uptime a try after reading the reviews.

Well, what a difference. While Freshping's free tier allowed 50 monitors and many status pages, the quality of the analytics and information in Better Uptime is way way waaay better. Add issue escalation and on-call duty rotation via calendar, and this deal deserves 10 tacos all the way up.

Setup was a breeze, and in no time I had all my monitors up and running. The graphs show response times from different geo locations, reports include screenshots of the error and details about the fail other vendors can only dream of.

One feature I didn't notice before is the Heartbeats section, which allows you to monitor cronjobs and other background tasks. That alone is pretty pretty awesome.

I don't have enough sites and platforms to fill the first code, but seeing the value here I stacked 5 codes so I never have to switch from this. Get a code, try it for yourself, and I'm pretty sure you will come back for more codes instead of refunding :)
