Don, the owner, seems uncommitted, with the platform often plagued by bugs and very little effective communication. Features promised long ago (like the task engine) still haven't made it past alpha testing despite waiting for almost two years. A recent move to disable user comments in the Discord community seems like an attempt to mute criticism.

For over two-years, I've been waiting (perhaps naively) for improvements that just never came. A look at Discord shows no updates since an 8/25 message about a so-called platform upgrade, later repackaged and pushed as a new, non-functional product. Why disconnect Discord when it's the backbone for building a community? Why not engage more actively and incorporate feedback? Deleting Discord doesn’t resolve customer service issues; it only shows disinterest in any dialogue surrounding the issues
