I have a practical question. I'd be happy to use it on my mobile, however, the camera is at the top so I have to record in portrait and that doesn't look so great for YouTube. Any suggestions on how to address this? Thanks!

Did you try to open BIGVU with an incognito window on Chrome?
Regarding the App, you can record in Portrait and Landscape. Make sure ROTATION is enabled on the setting of your phone.

I've tried incognito, safari, firefox, everything... the only thing I can get it to work with is Microsoft Edge. I want my team to use it and they experience the same issues.
