I really like this software. I have a thing for video software and tend to buy up most of it.

If you make scripted videos with your phone, and want an integrated Teleprompter, that transcribes the text (quite well I have to say) and add intros and outro templates automatically, then this is a good option but for $69, if all you want is a Teleprompter then there is cheaper option (£19) that does the job a little better at the minute.

It is easy to use and I particularly like the ability to be able to add templates for use as intro and outro snippets with my details and logo etc. on.

You can also add lower 3rds.

It does take a bit of practise to get it right but it is so easy to do an additional take or takes.

I am still learning the intricacies of the software and am sure there is power in there that I have yet to discover.

Overall I am happy with most of the functionality.

Cons

1- I do not like that you cannot remove the BigVU branding on the video pages. This is normally a basic option with appsumo offers, so I am disappointed as I won't be using that part of the software with their branding on it.

2- The Teleprompter does not stop/ start or speed up/slow down when you speak allowing you to go off script, which i do quite often. I know there is an alternative, which I also bought, says they have patented technology which could be the reason bigvu cant add this functionality in but it does make a big difference making is so much easier and takes a lot less takes to get right.

3- You can only have one business profile for the business card information. - I am working on a couple of projects and therefore require more than one business card for the intro and outro slides. At present, I have to keep going into the back end and editing the template alternatively I have to edit the business card on each video.

As with most appsumo deals they do mature and improve as time goes on and some go on to be brilliant and I hope this is one that evolves and improves and that they are able or prepared to deal with the cons I have mentioned above.
