Updated Review

BigVu seems to be a pretty solid tool for recording videos using transcripts and doing video light editing, all from your mobile device. Core functionality worked fairly well for me, with a few UX glitches.
✅ Creating, editing, and recording with transcripts works well.*
✅ The app is simple and fairly intuitive (other than the "price tag" icon in the mobile app that promotes paid plans, even though you already have all the features; this cause me some confusion early on).
✅ Adding captions and music was easy.

The issues that most affected my experience and prevented me from giving BigVu 5 stars:
⛔ *I was unable to record audio via Airpods. When my Airpods are in, BigVu doesn't see my audio. Other apps record fine. Having to use the iPhone mic is suboptimal at best. I'm hoping this was a glitch, or will be corrected soon, as the ability to capture good audio is critical to producing good video.
⛔ The captions in my final rendered video were not very crisp. I need to do more testing, perhaps that is only the case when rendering at 720p? I haven't tested videos at 1080p yet.
⛔ The music selection is quite limited, and does not appear expandable (i.e., I didn't see any way to upload or use my own music, or use any third-party libraries, etc). I'd love to have the ability to upload tracks, see more variety in the built-in library, and/or the ability to search other music licensing libraries.

As someone else mentioned, I'd also really love to see an "auto-pause" feature like that of another popular teleprompter app, as it allows for much more natural speed and pauses in the recorded video without forcing the reader to wait (or hurry) if they get ahead (or behind).

Good app overall with the potential to be a great app over time, if it continues to get updated and the deal terms are honored in perpetuity.
