I bought BigVu because I have some instances where I have specific wording I need to use in my videos and having a teleprompter is REALLY helpful. For the price, I can't argue with it!

There are a few things that could be better, though. When you start recording a video, it jumps past the first couple of lines before it actually starts recording anything. It took me a while to figure out how to work around it, but it's still difficult to time things so that I don't end up speeding through those first couple lines while I remember them and then speaking at a normal pace afterward. Otherwise, though, it's (mostly) performed as advertised!

Pros:
- Makes it easy to use a mobile teleprompter
- Lets you adjust the teleprompter speed so you can match your normal speaking speed
- Lets you put your phone in silent mode so you don't get weird notification noises on top of your recording (discovered this too late, haha!)
- Captioning is really easy since it mostly just takes the script you wrote
- It's easy to edit the captions as needed

Cons:
- Usually skips at least the first line (sometimes two) of the script before it actually starts recording, even though it says it's recording as soon as the teleprompter starts moving
- If you deviate from the script at all, the captions get wonky
- It stopped actually generating the captions after about 3 videos. I'm not sure what happened, but it just keeps saying it's working on it and never actually finishes, regardless of if I'm on mobile or desktop. It seems that, despite captions being touted as part of the features, they may have only give us a 3-day trial? Not cool, BigVu, not cool at all!
- It seems to only record in portrait mode. I would have SO many more uses for it if it recorded in landscape mode as well, and especially if I could use it to record on desktop!
