Wanted to like it. Just falls short
I've used a lot of contact form plugins previously and found bit forms just before my fluent forms renewal date so seemed perfect to replace it.
The styling and UI need a lot of work, while you can achieve just about anything any other form builder can, it's noticeably slower and more painful. After trying for a while to globally change the input styles just to find the phone field doesn't follow the same global setting and having to change it individually I gave up and manually added CSS to style the form.
Only after wasting enough time on that did I discover the phone field can ONLY receive international number formats and while 90% of my work involves local phone numbers I'd prefer not to use the country code. You can automatically populate the country code via IP, with the use of VPNs this wouldn't be too reliable for my use. So after wasting more time with the phone field I realised the only way to get what I wanted was to ditch the "phone" input for a "text" input configured for "tel" input.
After wasting too much time on styling and formatting the inputs, building email templates, pdf templates, conditional logic to send them and finally have something I wanted to use. I move onto more complicated forms with multi-step and more of a questionnaire appearance. Update the email templates, pdf template, conditional logic etc and finally discover.... it doesn't send.
For some reason it refuses to send any form which was duplicated. I create a new form and it'll send, delete all the fields from the duplicated form, remove the conditional logic, templates and all and it still won't send. No error, no reason just records the entry and no email, no smtp log.
In my current frustration using this plugin I want to give it 1 taco. But being honest I see the potential, it LOOKS like it can really offer competition to plugins like gravity forms and fluent forms. Already offering much more functionality than something like Happyforms (which I still use for smaller projects and while simple, just works). But the frustration and hurdles so far really leaves me with little confidence I can reliably use this on client sites.
