We implemented the credit system that CopyLeaks is charging us. Of course, it is not a free system. But the rates are pretty clear, and they are not hidden at all. The charges are per page. Page = 250 words. If we send a request by API to get a plagiarism check done, they go by credit system: 1 page = 1 credit = up to 250 words per page
Yes, you will need to buy credits - $10 will get you 100 credits. It is not per word. It is per page. Basically, for 500 words article, it will cost $0.20
However, if you send two words in the article for a plagiarism scan – it still will be one credit. Of course, you can use CopyLeaks yourself directly on their site. But, still, if you want to use plagiarism service in our app, these are the price for credits.
Yes, they do have excellent reporting, which is very useful. I prefer them to any other plagiarism service. This is why we selected them. CopyLeaks do a tremendous job of scanning and showing similarity scores, highlighting exact parts of the text in a report that is plagiarized. Hence, you know where it came from—a very lovely service. 😊
Yet, I hope that people are checking our app, not only just for that reason. We have a lot to offer, and plagiarism is only a tiny subset of our complete integrated content creation platform.
