Q: Ability to connect your own AI code API key 👍 .
They really need to be able to connect their own codes, e.g. OpenAI API Key or Anthropic Claude etc..
🤔
The problem is that the price of using AI is constantly falling. Something that was a year ago, tokens now cost much less and will be even less.

Using only what you provide, I will have to either stop using AI or pay a lot, and it is not profitable.

Aug 9, 2024A: Upon consultation with the Research and Development department, implementing your own Open API account and interface proves to be challenging.
Such an integration would significantly alter the existing AI model and its underlying logic. As such, we find it crucial to investigate more compatible solutions.
In the interim, we suggest utilizing the current AI functionality.

Most solutions currently provide the option to connect your own OpenAI API Key and other alternative AI solutions.
🤔
It is also safe for us that there is no machine learning on our data, only OpenAI is responsible for it
I agree with Jack.S. (Ethan, I know you have experience but this is doable. Imho, step back and and if it's about liquidity, to support an upgrade, PM, let me know.) Any application with the OpenAI API Key user's if you build it they will come! Hmmm... I understand it takes time.

So many people have already written about this in the comments
This is one of the more anticipated functionalities.

We are currently at a different stage of AI development.
I would like to be able to support other AI models by adding my own OpenAI key, Gemini, Claude, etc.

Short of releasing a BYOK only version for the same price to offset the dev cost, leave users to connect and train their side.
I do agree the detrimental nature of this.
The service, the maintenance and the confusion could create waves from ripples.
Several months into this, I've not really had any issues with the dedicated trained AI.

+1
Many other AppSumo tools like TaskMagic, ContextMinds, and NoCode-X already let users add their Straico API key, so they can have API access-even from a third-party app. And lots of others are also planning this. This make it easier and often more doable for developers to allow BYOK and provide access to OpenAI and other models in their software, instead of relying only on direct OpenAI api.

True but 4+ parties you/service/API unify/AI source. Already shows the complexity/control/maintenance and costs, if a team/user doesn't fit that mould then it's already too much.
And is this service is targeting that user base yet, even more so out of scope.
Not saying it's a bad thing. But just because BYOK exists doesn't mean that it suits all use cases.
