Definitely the Miro Killer.
I'm a huge digital whiteboarding enthusiast, I purchased this in hopes to replace Miro subscription but didn't expect it to actually be better than Miro in many ways. Actually insane LTD, Here's what I really enjoy about the app.
- Full and easy to use dark mode integration (The lack of support for this in other tools is honestly shocking to me)
- Works extremely well on the ipad browser, (Intuitive and intelligent pen touch screen support in safari. It, crashed occasionally on the ipad but even when it did it would load back up in like 2 seconds Context: was jumping across the board with the roadmap when this happened)
- Features that are only on Miro's second business tier plan for $20/mo like Breakout Rooms for conferencing, full spectrum of shapes are just there, and advanced project management.
- Real Project Management Features I was not expecting (Way better than Miro) You can sort and organize the kanban board views with their left and right columns like a notion database, was not expecting that kind of power from that.
- Absolutely beautiful interface, great job design team
- You can attach image carousels to STICKY NOTES and download full the full resolution images!
- You can add tags to boards, the defaults are: Doing, Done, Favorites, Pending. (You can imagine how helpful this could be for easily finding boards)
- The Roadmaps can be repositioned around your screen (really nice for ipad) you can associate and object to another object on the canvas for quickly jumping to another place on the canvas relevant to another item
- You can also save elements or clusters of elements to your own personal resource library to use at a later date
- Really impressed with how committed they are to creating an experience you enjoy, meaning they give you a LOT of customization on how you can interact with the whiteboards, scrolling, etc. Lots of custom preference settings which you don't usually see in tools like this. Refreshing.
- Yes, you can even import your boards from Miro and it translates the objects pretty well
There's so much more to love about this app, Honored to give my first five taco review to this one.
Features I'd like to see added or improved:
- Global note on each board that shows on the right sidebar that you can pin/hide to give context to each board wherever you are in the canvas (Global note like in miro)
- YouTube Videos don't currently have previewable embeds, meaning you can't currently watch youtube videos on the canvas, Easy fix I'm sure
- Documents editor didn't feel the most stable, (the blocks I tried to add didn't work properly at times) but If I was writing documents I would probably be linking to external places like a notion or google docs so this didn't really bother me
- When I create a card that has a lot of context in a kanban view I'm deterred from actually writing too much in them because there is no way to collapse the view. (I do really like that you can add the context to the cards without popping in to them, they just need a collapse feature in order to fit neatly into the kanbans)
That's the extent of what I found notable after 3 days of testing, may add more this later. :)
