Good tool but needs a lot of improvements
I tested it before buying and I decided to buy because I see they are taking in account users' opinion and promising to make things better. So, I bought based on the promise of improvements.
1 – The dashboard and booking page look very old-fashioned, like an old outdated system. I wish they could make it nicer and more modern looking.
2 – The second time my clients come to my booking page, it should remember their data. Canlendly does this. People hate entering data again and again.
3 – I did the test using my mobile and the confirmation page was kinda truncated, the text lines were overlapping each other.
4 – Very bad Portuguese grammar in the emails received.
5 – Confusing phone number format. For Brazil it would be:
For mobiles: +55 XX XXXXX-XXXX
For landlines: +55 XX XXXX-XXXX
6 – Not everything is translated into Portuguese in emails. For instance, the day of the week appears as Tuesday instead of Terça-feira.
7 – The SMS reminder that my client received was completely in English, when it should be in Portuguese.
8 – Only 100 SMS/mo is very little. Consider making this quota higher. For a different kind of service, Feedier is offering 500 SMS/mo in their current lifetime deal.
9 – In the email reminder the date format is acceptable in Brazil: 26 Jun 2018, but the format in the email asking for feedback 2018-06-22 (YYYY-MM-DD) is very confusing for Brazilian people given that in Portuguese we never ever write the year and the month before the day. It is always something like DD-MM-YYYY.
10 – The meeting location is not appearing in the confirmation email and reminders.
11 – The feedback page has just a text field. I also would like to ask some numeric questions to assess satisfaction.
12 – The send button on the feedback page has it text in English (Send Review) and not in Portuguese, “Enviar Comentário”.
13 – By far the biggest issue: There are 3 Bookafy advertisement in every confirmation email or reminders they send to my clients:
A big button “Get Started for Free”;
A “Powered by Bookafy” statement;
And a hyperlink: “Copyright 2018 bookafy.com”
This kind of big advertisement usually happens when we are using a free service and, even so, many times it is not this intrusive. But we are not using Bookafy for free, we are paying for a subscription. White label is very desired here, otherwise it won’t look professional at all. I could live with a small branding (for instance just “Powered by Bookafy” would already help them to gain visibility) but I definitely don’t want to be sending huge Bookafy adds every time to my clients. They will actually think that I am asking them to sign for this free service and it is not what my business is about.
If these issues are fixed, then we have a powerful and awesome system. If they are not fixed them I will look unprofessional to my clients and this would kill my business so I would be obligated to hit the Refund button for the first time. I really hope it won’t be necessary.
