decent product with potential though still rough edges

I have been waiting for a great loyalty card tool at appsumo for quite some time. Loyalty programs/cards are a great way to attract and retain customers. The whole concept has been around for ages and will be here to stay, especially in today's digital age and even in the post COVID era . It is critical for companies to have something to use for customer acquisition and to keep churn to a minimum. A tool like Boomerang, which makes loyal customers digital and easily accessible, is ideal for small businesses that can embrace the technology and get up and running in no time. It's also a great solution for agencies to offer services and better serve small businesses.

Pro
- The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate. The entire setup is straightforward and can be done fairly quickly. There are 6 different types of loyalty cards and creating a card is pretty easy. And installing loyalty cards in an Apple Wallet or Google Pay/Wallet is smooth.

- The scanner app is browser-based, which is a plus since having to reinstall an app is always a hindrance. All businesses need to do is open the browser scanner app on smartphones, tablets or even laptops and they are good to go. If the internet goes down or the device or browser does not work properly for some reason, businesses can simply take the customer data and make up for any missing data later in the dashboard. As for us agencies offering the service, it's a white-label solution and it's very easy to set up. We grow, Boomerang grows. It's a real win-win situation.

- The team is fantastic! They are friendly and happy to help. I can tell they are committed to improving the product and growing the company.

- Support is always just a live chat away and they are responsive and helpful. With other SaaS providers, it often takes a day or two or even longer for support to get back to me. Not so with Boomerang: they respond within hours or even minutes. The response time of the support is an important factor for the success of a startup.

- Today, a vibrant community is a must for the success of a SaaS company. Boomerang has a nice Facebook group where founder Mike actively communicates with members. He not only announces updates and features, but also addresses use cases and explains how to best use the tool for business owners and resellers. He also proactively seeks feedback, ideas and feature requests from the community. I have seen many communities from other SaaS companies that are just dead. Boomerang's community is a standard.

I would say the tool is still in its early stages and still has some rough edges. There are still quirks here and there that need to be ironed out. But the tool definitely has its potential. More importantly, the founder and team are open to feedback and committed to improving the product. With a great founder and team, I can imagine it being successful in the long run.

Overall it's a decent product and has potential. Hope the team will keep pushing forwar.
