Looks promising, but there are issues

Upon first logging in, the UI is clean and intuitive. (Good start.)

Creating a Boost link is effortless. Integrations with ActiveCampaig... piece of cake. Integrations with Facebook and Google pixels... easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Works with all the main social networks (Facebook, Google, etc etc lots to choose from... amazing!)

Awesome that this tool comes with a dedicated landing page tool. Really increases the value of the tool. by becoming a one-stop social leadgen shop.

That's the GOOD. Now let me tell you about the BAD...:

1.) Support kind of sucks? I sent a request to find something specific and they responded by saying, "Yes you can find your answer in the docs".

I was thinking, "Well great, can you point me to the specific link where that is?" Not a good first sign of the relationship to look forward to with Boost.

So the complaints about almost non-existent support ARE TRUE? (Dag nab it Jed! I was really hoping they weren't.)

2.) Creating social options is not quite as push-button-simple as they make out. The video I watched doesn't reflect what happens in reality...

First, you create a Boost option link and give it a destination URL (check)... create a basic landing page with the social buttons that people can choose to optin with (check)... place the embed code for that on your option form (check)... test to see what happens...

And THIS is where the process falls over. For some inexplicable reason, when a user clicks the social optin button, they SHOULD be offered a permissions screen.

This is pretty standard stuff. Actually, I've been making these types of social-optin apps for 9-YEARS. So this is nothing new to me.

But, in BOOST, there's a confusing in-between screen where visitors have to choose AGAIN the social network they'll sign up with (on a BOOST page). Then only after clicking through this step will they see the requisite permissions screen. I anticipate this will create confusion and affect the overall conversion rate.

So despite the promising features referenced above, unless there's a quick fix for the basic problem I've described, I'm almost ready to ask for a refund... which surprises me, because, for a product that has a 4.73 star rating, I CAN'T see why more people aren't complaining.

I'm taking 1.5 stars away for the issue. And another star away for weird customer support. And because Appsumo doesn't allow half stars, I'm going to err on the side of 2-stars (unusual for me. Normally when I review, I only bother when the product is EXCELLENT).

Good start guys. I truly believe you can do well with this product. But only if you can pull this off properly.
