So this is going to be my second review after StackBy. I have been testing BotStar for the last 2 weeks and now I feel this is a good time to write a review.

Before starting TexAu, we were a software development agency, focusing on Chatbots, Automation, Integrations, and APIs. We still take projects and we have a dedicated team to work on our agency - Eulercoder. We have worked with many bot building companies including Botpress, Botkit, LawDroid, Blyng, and DoNotPay. We have been using something similar development in-house for chatbots projects but this is by far the most well-built chatbot building platform I have tried.

In any chatbot building platform, we always check three things:

1. How easy it is to work with the Flow Builder
2. Does it support NLP or works with Dialogflow or Wit.ai
3. Can we write custom code or functions to work with complex functionalities which can not be done by simple drag-and-drop stuff

Well, BotStar has everything that we need:

→ The visual flow builder has modules to easily categorize different sets of flows together. You can easily drop text, media, buttons, slider etc. You can check whether a text response contains email, phone number, date or apply regular expression for checking and parsing data.

→ BotStar can be connected with Dialogflow by simply connecting your Google account, selecting agent. You can later pass that from BotStar to DF and process the response, it comes back to BotStar for further processing. We all know how important it is for any bot to handle Natural language processing and handling complex responses

→ You can write small NodeJS functions, which truly extends its capabilities. I don't need to host the code anywhere, it has editor, whether I can write the functions and save it. Later connect it with the flow to pass the data and process it with the function.

Apart from this,

It has all the functionalities to run campaigns, add, remove, update any details of any user who is communicating with your bot. So definitely a big plus for all the sales and marketing teams.

You can also deploy it on your website or set up a landing page. Let's say you want to offer a small EBOOK to your audience, bring them to your landing page, ask them to chat with your Messenger bot, get their email, push them to your custom audience and then send the ebook. You can later keep pushing them updates through Facebook.

You can bring your team, assign them bots and roles — which is nice as well.

I didn't test White label stuff since I won't be selling or giving access to anyone apart from my team so I can't talk about that.

I would recommend to purchase 1-2 codes and try everything. If you're into bots and new marketing tools, this is a MUST buy. Get at least 2-3 codes.

I wish I could make a video but we have TexAu campaign running so I'm not able to invest time in making a video.
