The AppSumo deal was sold as “Lifetime access to Breakcold” and included “All future Breakcold CRM (Tier 1) or Breakcold+ (Tier 2-4) Plan updates.”

Breakcold has now rebuilt the product as V2, but LTD holders have been told that “this new product, labeled V2 for simplicity, will not be granted to LTDs.” Instead, LTD holders are being left on V1 while the continuing Breakcold product, roadmap, and commercial development appear to be moving to V2.

That is not what I purchased. I did not buy lifetime access to a frozen legacy version or a specific codebase. I bought lifetime access to Breakcold with future Breakcold+ Plan updates.

In my view, this is a classic bait-and-switch: sell lifetime access with future updates, then later rebuild the product, call it a new version, and exclude the lifetime customers.

V1 being kept technically alive does not solve the issue. The issue is that the actual forward version of Breakcold is being withheld from LTD buyers despite the original AppSumo terms promising future Breakcold+ Plan updates.

Unless Breakcold honours the lifetime deal they sold at AppSumo by providing access to V2 and future Breakcold+ updates, I cannot recommend this company or this product.
