I've tried to set up directory sites before using either a self hosted solution from Codecanyon, or a Wordpress + plugin solution. I've never had much success with either route.

I always discounted Brilliant Directories as a solution as I don't really like to pay for a SaaS when I have the option not to. But now that this is a LTD I'm happy to have gone for Tier 5 and get the best of all worlds.

I think people sometimes think that a directory site is simple - but there are so many moving parts. Sign-ups, membership levels, claim listings, maps, unlocking features after payment - the list goes on and on. Not to mention the specific needs of your server, which are probably nothing like what you need for most websites. I'm happy to hand all of this over to someone else.

I'm probably going to grab more sites using the discount just because this is a tremendous deal.
