The software was a little intimidating at first, with a bit of a learning curve. The UX could also have benefited from an upgrade as it feels a bit dated. Having that said, and having worked with Wordpress-directories in the past: BrilliantDirectories blow them all out of the water!

You can create membership levels that allow listings with different features depending on which plan the user paid for, and the listings look really good - they thought about everything here. Even though the listing and member-management is the most important part, the static pages are very customizable and can be used for all sorts of things (you can grant access to each and every page depending on membership level), such as courses or downloads. This means that BD can be used for so many things in addition to listings, the only thing limiting you is your imagination.
