Powerful, With Plenty to Explore
Brilliant Directories is a solid platform with lots of bells and whistles for anyone looking to build a membership site or online directory. It packs a huge amount of functionality into one system, which is great if you want an all-in-one solution rather than juggling lots of separate tools.
That said, with so many features, it can run the risk of feeling a bit bloated. There’s definitely a learning curve, especially at the beginning, and it can feel like there’s more to explore than you immediately need. Thankfully, it mostly walks a fine line between practicality and overwhelm — the tools are there when you’re ready for them.
One welcome improvement is the addition of new AI tools, which make it much easier to get started. They help speed up setup and content creation, reducing the friction for new users.
Overall, Brilliant Directories is a good fit if you’re building a serious project and are happy to spend a little time learning the platform. I’m personally looking forward to using it for my new project, and it feels like a strong foundation for a well-thought-out directory or membership site.
