What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
Our team comes from a cross-border e-commerce unicorn company that serves over 4 million users globally. Working at this scale gave us deep insights into the challenges businesses face when trying to extract and utilize web data efficiently. We saw firsthand how manual data collection processes became bottlenecks for growth, and how traditional scraping solutions constantly broke due to website changes. Last year, our project team successfully launched MimicPC, an AI cloud platform that democratized access to computationally intensive AI applications. MimicPC taught us crucial lessons about making complex technology accessible to non-technical users. We learned that the best solutions hide technical complexity behind intuitive interfaces, and that user adoption depends more on ease of use than on raw technical capabilities. Building on the foundation and learnings from MimicPC, we developed BrowserAct to address a specific pain point we observed: businesses desperately need web data for decision-making, but lack the technical resources to extract it reliably. Our e-commerce background showed us that data-driven companies significantly outperform their competitors, yet most struggle with data collection due to technical barriers. One key insight from our unicorn company experience was understanding the scale and reliability requirements of enterprise customers. We witnessed how systems need to handle millions of requests while maintaining high accuracy and uptime. This shaped BrowserAct's architecture from day one - we built for enterprise-grade reliability even while focusing on ease of use. Our biggest learning has been that sustainable technology solutions must balance sophisticated backend capabilities with accessible user experiences. The combination of our large-scale e-commerce expertise and the user-centric design philosophy we developed with MimicPC uniquely positioned us to create BrowserAct: a platform that delivers enterprise-level web automation through simple English commands.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
The idea for BrowserAct emerged from a frustrating reality we witnessed daily at our unicorn e-commerce company: brilliant business minds were making critical decisions based on incomplete or outdated data simply because they couldn't access the web information they needed. I watched our marketing team spend hours manually copying competitor prices from websites, only to have that data become stale within days. Our business development team struggled to build prospect lists because they couldn't efficiently extract contact information from industry directories. Meanwhile, our technical team was overwhelmed with requests to build custom scrapers that would inevitably break whenever target websites updated. The breaking point came when we realized that 95% of the businesses we worked with desperately needed web data to compete, but only 5% had the technical resources to get it reliably. Existing solutions required either expensive development teams or complex technical knowledge that most business users simply didn't possess. After successfully launching MimicPC and seeing how powerful it was to make complex AI technology accessible through simple interfaces, we knew we could apply the same philosophy to web data extraction. We became passionate about democratizing access to web intelligence - believing that every business deserves to make data-driven decisions regardless of their technical capabilities. BrowserAct represents our commitment to eliminating the technical barriers between businesses and the web data that could transform their operations.
What problem is your product solving and how?
BrowserAct solves the fundamental disconnect between businesses' need for web data and their ability to obtain it reliably.
The Core Problem: 95% of businesses need web data for competitive intelligence, lead generation, and market research, but traditional solutions are either too expensive (custom development costs $50,000+), too technical (requiring programming skills), or too unreliable (breaking when websites change).
Our Unique Solution: We've created the world's first dual-mode platform that combines AI Workflows and Intelligent Agents, allowing users to extract web data using simple English commands or visual drag-and-drop builders.
What Sets Us Apart: Zero Technical Barriers: Users describe what they need in plain English instead of writing code
Real Browser Automation: We extract exactly what users see on pages, not approximations from APIs
Login-Protected Data Access: We handle secure authentication to extract personalized data like member pricing Intelligent
Obstacle Handling: Our systems automatically navigate CAPTCHAs, ads, and verification challenges
Native Integrations: Data flows directly into existing business systems (CRM, spreadsheets, automation platforms)
Unlike competitors who require technical expertise or AI tools that can generate inaccurate data, BrowserAct delivers 100% authentic web data through an interface anyone can master in minutes.
What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
User diversification and real-world validation across different industries and use cases. While we've proven our technology works at enterprise scale, AppSumo's community represents exactly the market we're passionate about serving: entrepreneurial businesses and growing companies that need enterprise-grade data capabilities without enterprise budgets or technical teams. We're specifically looking to: Gather diverse feedback from users across different industries, company sizes, and technical backgrounds to refine our dual-mode approach and identify which features resonate most with different user segments. Validate product-market fit beyond our current user base by seeing how AppSumo's community adopts and utilizes our AI Workflows vs Intelligent Agents modes for their specific business challenges. Build a community of automation enthusiasts who can contribute to our template library and help us understand the most valuable use cases we should prioritize in our roadmap. Generate authentic case studies showing how small and medium businesses achieve significant ROI through intelligent web automation, which will help us better serve this market segment long-term. The lifetime deal structure aligns perfectly with our goal of removing barriers to data-driven decision making - we want users focused on growing their businesses, not worrying about subscription costs as they scale.
What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?
Customer Development: We plan to establish a dedicated AppSumo customer success program with onboarding webinars, exclusive template libraries, and priority community support. These users will become our primary feedback source for refining the dual-mode experience and identifying the most valuable automation use cases across different industries.
Investment in Infrastructure: The campaign funding will directly support scaling our browser automation infrastructure to handle the increased user base. We're investing in additional global server nodes, enhanced security measures, and expanded integration capabilities with more business platforms beyond our current Make, n8n, and Zapier support.

The customer testimonials and case studies generated will strengthen our positioning for future growth rounds.
Any details to clarify about the deal?
Geographic Availability: BrowserAct is available globally, but users in certain regions (China, Russia, Iran, North Korea) may experience limited functionality due to infrastructure restrictions and compliance requirements.
Usage Limitations: While we offer generous monthly credit allocations, users engaging in excessive automated requests (beyond normal business use) may be subject to fair use policies. We define this as requests that could impact service performance for other users.
Integration Scope: All advertised integrations (Make, n8n, Zapier, APIs) are included in the lifetime deal. However, some advanced enterprise features like custom private cloud deployments are not included and would require separate arrangements.
Data Retention: Extracted data and workflow configurations are stored indefinitely as part of the lifetime deal. Users maintain full export rights to their data at all times.
