Concerns with long term use

I thoroughly tested this app, and it does work but I have a few concerns.
1) The creator is not responding to questions that show other startup apps that the creator was a part of are now defunt. Thats a serious concern - because you could be flushing money on this app.
2) It's so slow. Compared to other scaping systems, this takes forever to do a few tasks.
3) The credit usage is insane for anything that has more than 10 steps. One task for one record of mine which involved visitng 2 websites took up 480,000 credits - for 1 search.
4) The system seems to use browser-use.com for it's browser - and that does not have an unlimited plan... so how can this option be sustainable.

On #4, I would love to see the response from the creator.

I am returning it.

Thank you for taking the time to test BrowserAct thoroughly and share your detailed feedback. I'd like to address each of your concerns directly and transparently.

1. Regarding Previous Projects:
We've been actively responding to questions about RemoteSpace throughout this Q&A section. To be completely transparent:
- RemoteSpace was sold on third-party platforms (not AppSumo)
- When we shut it down on August 31, 2025, we offered refunds or migration to all users
- The vast majority of users accepted our compensation and successfully migrated
- We've learned valuable lessons about platform partnerships
BrowserAct is different: ✅ Launched on AppSumo with 60-day money-back guarantee
✅ Strong institutional backing and long-term roadmap
✅ Active development with regular updates
✅ Enterprise-grade infrastructure
We understand the concern, but BrowserAct represents our commitment to building a sustainable, long-term product.

2. Regarding Speed:
Performance varies based on task complexity and target website characteristics. We're continuously optimizing speed, and we'd love to understand your specific use case better to identify potential improvements.
Tips for faster performance:
- Use Workflows instead of Agents for better speed and consistency
- Optimize step sequences to reduce unnecessary actions
- Consider parallel processing for multiple records

3. Regarding the 480,000 Credits Claim:
This is technically impossible with our current system. Our Workflow maximum step limit is 2,000 steps per execution. Even at maximum complexity, a 2-website task should not consume anywhere near 480,000 credits.
I've searched our system logs and cannot find any execution matching this credit usage pattern for your account.
Please contact us directly so we can investigate:

📧 Email: support@browseract.com
We'll analyze your specific case in detail. If there was a billing error or system malfunction, we'll resolve it immediately. Understanding what happened is critical for us.

4. Regarding Browser Technology:
Important Clarification:
We partially referenced browser-use.com's open-source driver technology for certain automation patterns, but:
❌ We do NOT use their browser infrastructure
✅ Our browser is built on Chromium with proprietary fingerprint technology
✅ We operate our own distributed browser infrastructure
✅ Completely independent scaling and sustainability
This is a common misunderstanding. While we appreciate the open-source community's contributions (including browser-use's innovations), our core browser engine and infrastructure are entirely our own. We have full control over scalability and long-term sustainability.
Think of it like this: Many apps use React (open-source framework), but they build their own products on top of it. Similarly, we've learned from browser-use's approach but built our own enterprise-grade browser automation system.

Moving Forward:
I genuinely want to understand what happened with your credit usage. A 480,000-credit execution for a simple 2-website task indicates either:
1. A serious system bug that we need to fix immediately
2. A misunderstanding about how credits were calculated
3. Multiple executions being counted together
Please reach out before finalizing your return so we can:
- Review your execution logs
- Identify what went wrong
- Provide appropriate credit adjustments if there was an error
- Help optimize your workflows for better performance
We're committed to transparency and fairness. If there's a legitimate issue, we'll make it right.
